Original Halo trilogy (MS) vs Uncharted trilogy (sony). which is better?

Uncharted 2 is better than any Halo game.

Halo games only made an impact on those who didn't have PCs. Half Life, UT, Quake 3 and CS1.6 did everything better.

I totally disagree with that. It's not about console vs PC. Halo was the first FPS to do it right on console, but Halo is a unique experience that feels different than any other FPS. It feels different than all those games you mentioned and plays differently. The gameplay, movement, AI, level design, mechanics, physics, pacing, Halo has such an amazing and unique engine. It appealed to all fans of FPS regardless of the platform of choice. I know a lot of PC gamers that picked up the MCC. I have always been a PC gamer as well as my friends, and we all loved Halo.

I never liked Halo but it's the clear winner here. Only makes sense. I did enjoy the Uncharted series, but I can't in good conscious compare the two. Halo games are all-time greats.

Whilst I enjoyed Uncharted 2 in particular, have to go with Halo. All 3 games are epic.

The two game series' aren't comparable. Not even close. They're different genres, different pacing, different settings, different storytelling, different everything just about.

The only thing they have in common is that they're both EXCELLENT and POPULAR console-exclusives.

Uncharted is a garbage series. A waste of time and ND talent.

I don't have a huge amount of love for either one.

I think I enjoyed the Uncharted series slightly more overall, but I didn't play Halo 2 or 3 near when they came out (only recently in the MCC on PC).

I did love Halo 1 when it first released on PC back in the day, but 2 and 3 didn't do much for me playing them recently.

I enjoyed Uncharted 3 and 4 enough that i'd give it the edge. I found Uncharted 2 pretty overrated, but I played it with very high expectations with all the hype surrounding it and felt the gameplay let it down. I went in with lower expectations for 3 and 4 and had a decent time with them.

I like them both but Halo CE however revolutionize FPS on the consoles (despite Goldeneye did it first) and as such, Halo wins this for me and Uncharted didn't really do anything groundbreaking but still a worthy action-adventure series.

I'm not voting because the poll question makes no sense at all. We are talking about two entirely different genres. The question would have been better if it was Halo 1-3 vs. SOCOM 1-3, in which case I would have easily voted the later, but would easily understand if people disagreed since it's two different setting albeit both being arcade style shooters.

Halo. UC2 was excellent and the rest were okay.

Halo's mutliplayer is actually worth the time of day, and in the case of 2 an all time classic. Uncharted on the other hand has aged like whole milk. It's shitty for you in the first place, and has only gotten shittier over time.

Halo 3 for MP, Uncharted for SP

Halo simply because UC1 and UC3 are both terrible games.

My early impressions of Uncharted 1 and The Last of Us. Gave both a go on PS Now streaming service on the PC.

Uncharted: Gameplay seems kind of basic tbh. I'm early on still. The shooting on the boat wasn't fun and first temple bit seems like a basic Tomb Raider.

The Last of Us: Need to get further, but very early on, I'm just leading from one cut scene to the other. I'm just past the bit where the daughter died at the beginning. Must be an intro, but it's really long to just be walking around.

I'm used to games giving more gameplay early on... Or is this it? :-S

These are my first two PS Now games. I like the PS4 control pad though.

Disagree, I play FPS on PC and Consoles, and Halo is a good series.

Love me some uncharted, but Halo is my childhood memories.....

UC2 might be better than Halo 3, but it’s close.

UC3 doesn’t get enough credit for its MP. But all three Halo games are, to it, superior.

I am gonna have to give this to Halo. Halo was a landmark for console gaming, and were the definitive FPS for console. Uncharted, honestly, I forgot those games even existed. And for a good reason, they were always bad.

I love Halo and voted for Halo, but to be honest I never tried UC? Can't judge a game I have never tried.

343 for one did not come up with halo. so halo infinite was beyond what uncharted is? halo beats uncharted in the graphic department? lol how much did xbox give 343 to make halo and still looked worse than last gen?

using interns to work on the game then they leave and new interns works on halo. they need new management over there. can 343 be a great studio yes but right now it needs to be managed better.

Weren’t ND employees crunched to make LoU2? I don’t recall 343i forcing a crunch for their employees. In fact, they held Halo Infinite back from a launch title. That’s a pretty big move and it prevented a crunch.

Single player wise, Uncharted takes the cake. I had more fun with uncharted than I ever did with halo. MO wise, Halo takes it for me.

No you can't. Simply watching the mechanics of DMC, or Siege, or Doom, or even Halo doesn't get you the experience, because the thing people shill about those games is the stuff you can do with those mechanics in given situations in those games.

People dunk on Uncharted because its linear, and I aint talking mission structure, I mean the gameplay itself is linear. You are less an active agent in those games, as much as you are an actor there to do your part of the script so something visually interesting can happen. The people dunking on Uncharted is because Uncharted is shallow.

Specifically those first 3 games, a bit unfair to the 4th game, even tho it has shitastic pacing.

Most of your post is VERY subjective. When talking MP I agree to an extent, but SP is totally subjective. I know because I seen Doom on YouTube, and while it looks great, I'm VERY less inclined to buy it now. Uncharted is a more (and even in some cases, much more) linear game, but the enjoyment you get out of it compared to other titles is COMPLETELY SUBJECTIVE!

BTW, people mostly HERE dunk in uncharted because of it's critical acclaim and profitable milestones it has achieved.

Nothing subjective about it.

Mechanics n a gameplay loop you do not experience from simply watching it. What's enjoyable about it is inherently a by product of you, the player actually interacting with said mechanics n making decisions in that gameplay loop. The knock on uncharted is very much that its more or less on rails, and as a result the experience offers little more than a cheap thrill that satiates on a visual level, but not on a functions based level.

If you enjoy a more visually interesting experience with a story that's fine. But someone dismissing a passive experience as something you can just youtube does not apply to every game, in fact your Doom example would be straight up ridiculous.
