I just wish KOTOR had a widescreen mode... but other than that, still holds up reasonably well :)
Close to 4k? A more than 10 years old game close to 4k on Shitty XboneX? What sorcery is this? Yep, a true 4K. LOL

Ultrawide support would be even better. And aside from the resolution upscaling, is there any remastering of the textures and other details?

I look forward to PS2 games running at 4K on the PS4 Pro. :)
But XboneX isn't a true 4k console. As usual, Xbone fans trying hard.
PC version of this game is broken, this is still the best way to play it.
Actually on the PC version, it doesn't take that long to fix it and I been replaying KOTOR for a long time now on Steam.
@Oemenia: Yeah, KOTOR is a console and controller game first and foremost; that game is a pain with mouse and keyboard.
Normally, that pic would be accurate, but Kotors mouse and keyboard controls were notoriously bad, it was the main complaint when it was released. The Xbox version was praised for fixing them. (And later mods fixed the PC version and added gamepad support)
Pretty much this. When Gamepad support release, I stop playing the Xbox version and never look back since.
What something close?
Youre telling me it can't do 4k on a close to 15 year old game
4:3 aspect ratio doesn't directly match 4K 16:9 aspect ratio.

That sweet ultra wide.

Never worked for me and many others.

I just used it to take that screenshot. Worked fine for me. /shrug
I was thinking more about KotOR at work, and I realized it was Biowares last truely great game, then I realized why. Bioware has never done a truely great game using their own worlds or their own ruleset.
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 used 2nd Edition D&D and the Forgotten Realms campaign setting, Neverwinter Nights was also Forgotten Realms with 3rd Edition rules. KotOR was the Star Wars universe with the 3rd Edition D&D ruleset.
All of their in house ruleset have frankly sucked, and although the lore behind Mass Effect was pretty darn cool, and the storyline was interesting it's obviously not Forgotten Realms or Star Wars. Dragon Age is some of the most generic crap I ever played.
Anyway, maybe that's what's been wrong with Bioware. It's not so much as they went downhill as a development team, they just don't have the ready made source material to use to make great games now.
Just my random thoughts for the day.

It's 2017 almost 2018. We can pinpoint land a rover on mars but can't fix aspect ratios
