I don't know man.....it was over 1 million + consoles that were banned.....most if not all of these were gamers.... I would think more than just 50,000 bought new ones....especially when there were sales for 360s for only $100 (Arcade)...as well as other sales everywhere....
either way, MS knew what they were doing....they timed that banning perfectly, right around the MW2 launch..

Just wanted a litte clarification on this banned 360 consoles and users. I was wondering were both consoles and users banned? I'm guess it is because the Xbox Live user accounts are probably registered on the modded 360 consoles, and it got banned both user and console got banned. I guess more people would start over again and buy a new Xbox 360 and make a new user account and pay the $50 a year than buy a PS3 that does everything in November.

Banned consoles can still play games, they just can't do HDD installs or use XBL (gold or silver).

Conspiracy theories now? haha, I find it funny how the only number that anyone thinks is off is the 360 number. I predicted the PS3 number within 10% and the Wii one within less than 3%. Its not bigus, just cows being completely in the dark about sales.
Its not over until its over and still after the Black Friday figures, these numbers are ridiculous. The World Wide figures will show a Ps3 regaining all the ground lost in 2008 and then some.

this is funny beacuse this is only NA sales i wonder how Europe and Japan are dont forget, the 360 outside the US is a complete different ball game. From what i have gathered the xbox is dead in japan, and Europe seems to be more ps3 centric but i could be wrong. So this just shows the 360 is an American thing, which will not win the war. Its a huge slice but not all.

If something like this repeats itself in December then I will accept that these numbers can be close to the real deal until then it is beyond ridiculous to think the Ps3 did not outsell the 360 in November after the Black Friday boost.

The funny thing is this doesn't include the 400,000 Walmart sold with 100 dollar Xbox 360 arcades. Walmart's data isn't even included in the NPD. LOL.

Wrong, NPD estimates total console sales, and thus includes Walmart, based on data from other retailers. ;) This is the total amount of consoles sold in the month of november in the US from all retailers.
Even with all of PS3's firepower unleashed this year, Xbox 360 still came out victorious. Wow. Nothing can stop the 360 now.

agreed, this is huge huge news, the 360 has to start getting credit now from cows, this is after a stellar lineup the PS3 came out with, a new design, a 1oo dollar price drop, and massive commercials put out by Sony. The 360 is going to obliterate next year with Project Natal and a better game library. Time for some to own the *8*k UP

The fact that the 360 is ahead of the Ps3 by so much has to be a mistake for it doesn't reflect the numbers disclosed after Black Friday.
You mean the numbers MS didn't disclose? One thing people don't get is that you can't look at black friday and make an absolute decision. Almost all systems double black friday sales but factoring various things in this result is not so absurd. Except for the 3660 being infront that is.
