I'm sorry but what? The playstation 3 is behind Xbox 360 sales by 8 million, God knows how much Microsoft, let a lone Sony is behined Wii Sales. Also Microsoft isn't dropping support for the Xbox 360, Microsoft themselves said they aren't going to put out a console anytime soon and plan to support the Xbox 360 for 10 years (like what Sony did with the Playsation 2), granted this doesn't mean there won't be another Xbox for 10 years but that even after the next Xbox has launched there will still be support for the Xbox 360. There won't be another Xbox until 2011/2012, with some people saying 2012/2013.

The 360 will eventually get discontinued by M$, xbox isnt sony's biggest concern. The WiiFAD was, now that thats over, Its almost too easy for Sony to start dominating againPackagez

I think sony will reclaim the top but not like this, sony and microsoft will go out for a night of drinking to celebrate the death of the wii and they will get rather drunk and sleep together, then in the following months there is an awkards sleep with your best friend thing going on then sony tells microsoft itdosent want to seeit anymore and microsoft kills itself......... at least thats what i think......

Your telling me, you see someone else's topic where he shows that the 360 out sells the Wii in the UK for a brief amount of time and he says the same thing only supporting the 360. You then take it and use the same method and support the PS3 :lol: .

Until the 360 or PS3 out sells the Wii on a consistent 3:1 scale, the so called fad aint over.

The Wii has sold about 50 million

The 360 has sold about 30 million

The PS3 has sold about 23 million

So now your telling me the PS3, which is in last place in sales is going to over take 1st. Okay when, you do the math dont worry I will wait.............

Of course! its so obvious now, 360 outselling the Wii in the UK, the center of the gaming universe, means that MS is going to discontinue the 360, which obviously stands no chance next to the awesome powerof the ps3!

you realize that the industry doesnt work that way right? Just because the wii got outsold doesnt mean that it is going to magically disappear and the generation is only like half over dude, why would MS stop supporting the 360 now especially when it is making them so much money?

1) The Playstation 3 isn't way too expensive, it is just the most expensive out of the box, compared to the other two consoles.

2) Playstation 3 still can play Playstation 1 games if I'm not mistaken, but no Playstation 2, however it looks like pretty soon the Playstation 3 will be able to emulate Playstation 2 games.

3) I don't get it? Playstation 3 pad is pretty much the same thing as the Playstation 1 pad, but with Sixaxis, and the R2 and L2 are slightly different.

4) Playstation 3 has Killzone 2, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4, and has God of War III and Gran Tourismo 5 on the way.

The 360 is already confirmed to be lasting more than 4 years which is all the Xbox managed. And when exactly is this history supposed to repeat itself? The PS3's been around for a few years now and still stuck in last place.

and in reality the PS3 is a humongous flop that is too expensive, practically all multiplatform games are better on 360, it gets barely any exclusives, it uses the same controller deign as the PS1, the online sucks and developers cant wait to jump ship

besides, how is sony going to support their systems when they're losing a billion dollars a year?
