PS4 jumped ahead on Amazon a week after the Playstation reveal. Its still early days, but are we seeing Sony lose momentum after that reveal? PS4 was doing so good, they fucked it up. The PS4 is even 50 dollars cheaper and xbox is ahead! And xbox is beating PS4 handily in the UK

Most of the time Amazon is good place to look to see whats popular right now. When Amazon had PS4 leading the last few years it ended up the NPD would be won by Sony. Same for xbox one. Its can change any given day, but its interesting the xbox one slim is ahead of the PS4.

PS4 pro is not a PS4 standard edition console. And by the way PRO is not out till November so the next two NPD's those sales are not counted.

Sure but that is because its an older product. The new ps4 pro is still on number 5 while the xbox one S is at number 15.

Base ps4 sales will be down as most new buyers will be waiting to get the ps4 pro since it's more powerful and only $100 more. Market demand can change swiftly when consumers get new information about what is coming in the future. This is basic economics...

Of course the regular PS4 sales are down, the PS4 Pro is a much better buy and it's wrecking Xbone on Amazon.

Those are pre-orders they are not sales, they can be cancelled at any time. And the PRO dropped from number 1 spot to 5 in just a week. And i don't even see the PRO charting that well in the UK.

Maybe they just recently got them back in stock ? When I checked a few times yesterday and last night it said they weren't available until the 22nd and it started dropping on the charts. And when I checked Toys R Us it said backordered and now it says out of stock, Gamestop said they had them to ship now. Perhaps some people went to other retailers that had them to ship now or drove to the store ?

Seeing an item in the top five a particular day usually means its new or some world event had a direct impact on it.

There are so many variables that go into it that could make it rise or fall that it isnt a credible barometer of interest or physical sales.

We could take it seriously if online retailers had a "top 10 over the last 2 weeks or month"

That would be a better guage of actual interest in the product

I never said anything about the PRO, i clearly mentioned the PS4 losing momentum. If everyone pays for their pre-order the PRO will win the Nov or Dec NPD.

xbox one slim is 299 and still 1.3 teraflops. The PS4 is 299 1.86 teraflops. Are you really going to compare a 4.2 teraflop console to 1.3 teraflop one.

And remember you guys saying the PS4 slim would beat the xbox one slim easily when it was announced at a cheaper price point.
