Even if this means that all ps exclusives will be playable on the PC (which I highly doubt that), it's be more like an "eventually" method than a simultaneous method. So there will still be reasons to get a PS.

Does it really matter? Is the only reason you game on the PS is its exclusives? So, it they release their games simultaneously with PC, you will sell your PS?

Me personally? No, but then it'll be nearly like MS in terms of exclusives.

MS clearly states its exclusive to Windows 10 and Xbox. Their end goal is to facilitate gaming wherever. If Sony and/or Nintendo takes the same route it is a win for all gamers. If Xbox decided to release their games on PS5, that will be great but the in order for that to happen it would have to be bidirectional. So, it may never happen.

So the only link is the digital art from the game box and not a Sony confirmation?

I'll hold until they confirm it, would be kind of cool. Could use the money from the PS5 to put towards a 3080ti when they are released.

I was told that folks only buy a PS4 to play exclusives. If its available on PC the PS4 is redundant and useless. That is the ongoing train of thought on the forum. Funny how its changing now. 😂

I don't understand why some people get upset by these things. While it's true, that if all PS games started coming to PC I'd probably stop buy PS consoles... explain to me what the problem is? How does this hurt you?

A lot of people prefer to play on consoles. I don't fully understand it, but I don't have to. The point is, plenty of PS systems would still sell, and the whole logic of getting upset presupposes that at least the same number of game units would sell (because you are assuming people will still buy it, but on a different platform)

In other words, if anything the games you love would get at least as much consumer support as they do now - chances are they will get more (that's presumably, what the market research has told MS and Sony). So... Isn't this going to help everyone?

Same reason people buy multiplats on PC, cos they play better.

only ps4 titles will be going to pc so they can use that updated version for the ps5. but new games for ps5 will not be on pc. sony already confirmed this. they want to put ps 4 titles on pc to get them to buy ps5 to play the sequels or sony brand games. spiderman ps4 will be on pc with miles as extra content.

but to play the new rachet and clank and hzd 2 you will need a ps5

why are you xbox fans and pc fans ignoring the fact that sony already covered this?

there putting ps4 exclusives on pc (spiderman will have miles for extra bonus.) that has the ps brand logo to get them to buy a ps5. god of war, hzd 1, etc. will come to pc.

but to play the sequels or new sony brand ps5 games you have to buy a ps5 to play.

games like rachet and clank and hzd2 are ps5 exclusives.

As long as I can play the games I want to play on Playstation I do not care about exclusivity .

There are few games not on Playstation I care about playing.

I don't see consoles ever going away unless cloud gaming becomes the new normal and every console manufacturer becomes solely a game developer ala Sega.

It is so impractical for the casual consumer to buy or build a rig from both a price point and figuring out what would be a "good" gaming rig for several years.

but to play hzd 2 you will need a ps5 unless you wait for the pc version after the ps5 gen. when the ps6 is around the corner you will see ps5 exclusives start to go to pc. this is sony how will do things now.

its will be exclusive until almost the end of the ps5 life cycle. if they can wait that long then they will but for those that can't wait it will drive console sales up.

So the PS5 lifespan will only be 3 years cos thats how long it took to come to PC.

If anything it will come to PC shorter than that, especially if it sells well on PC.

You said its coming to PC, which makes it not an exclusive.

This would offically destroy the Cow's argument against Xbox games also being on PC.

It's because many people still prefer to play on consoles. Besides, most games won't be available on all platforms, mostly PC. And most gamers will usually choose the cheaper option to play them... Consoles.

and three years later is a long time is it not? waiting three years for a game that is out already is a long wait. besides we can get the game for 20 bucks by the time it gets to the pc. we will play the game and move on by the time it gets to pc.

fine 3 years or more timed exclusives. is that better? your still waiting for that game. what if sony does not let that game until the end of ps5 life cycle just like hzd 1 at the end of the ps4 life cycle. that is 7 to 8 or more years from now. have fun waiting that long.

Sony show a game before a console that is launched to then not release the game for another 3-4 years, wouldn't surprise me.

But I suspect Sony fanboys would be more annoyed waiting that long.
