Nioh is the first game I feel bad that people can't play. (If you have no PS4).

This game is a masterpiece. I can't stop thinking about this game when i'm not playing it and I can't stop playing it.

I honestly hope it gets released to Xbox One and maybe Switch? It's a TON of fun. It really has the dark souls feel with the Ninja Gaiden feel.

Every time I see an action game / beat em up fan say they can't play Bayo 2 because no WiiU, I want to send them my WiiU lol.

But yeah, Nioh is dope as ****. Last night was the first night that I haven't been able to binge play it since it came out. And I was bummed lol. Such an addictive game. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece though. Haven't even beat it yet, but there are some minor annoyances here and there. Lacking enemy variety compared to the games that inspire it being the biggest one so far.

I will wait for it to be $30 before I indulge

I could at least understand the superficial misunderstanding on thinking William(Anjin) and Geralt are similar. Not something you'd say if you played both games, but whatever.

But "Ninja Gaiden moves". lol nah.

Dark Souls is at least a somewhat sensible point of comparison for the game, but nope. Still nope. They are as alike as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest- in that they are in the same genre, sure, but they do two completely different things.

I really want to get it, but Yakuza 0 is currently dominating my life (65 hours played and I'm only on chapter 7 out of 17, lol), and then Zelda is coming out in two weeks. Nioh looks very fun though, so I do plan on playing it at some point.

@ConanTheStoner: Lack of enemy variety is a bummer for this type of game. Hopefully the quality makes up for the quantity. I'll probably grab it as soon as I am done playing DmC and beating all the Chalice Dungeons in Bloodborne.

How many hours in so far?

Not sure exactly, but at least 40 hours. Probably closer to 50.

It's not that the enemy variety is bad. Just feels a bit thin for such a long game. NG and DMC, as short as they are in comparison, seem to have more variety than this game. And Bayo absolutely clowns it in that department (so far).

It comes up short in comparison to the Soulsborne games too.

Haven't finished yet, so maybe things will change. But up until this point I feel like I've been fighting a little too much of the same shit. Again, it's not even bad. But it could be better.

Glad people are enjoying it but it's not my cup of tea.

Any Nioh players know if this game tracks your play time anywhere? I know it tracks all kinds of in game data, but I didn't see anything about hours played.

atm nothing, 3ds has tons of games that will eat up hundreds of hours, would just be chucking money on a fire.

Yeah, DS and 3DS are amazing libraries. Hugely recommend A Link Between Worlds, but for the rest, I think you'd be best off trying to narrow down what you want yourself.

When you do get the PS4, if you get it, apart from Nioh, also look into Bloodborne.

Yes the game is great. The control is tight and the stance give the game a unique feels that differentiate enough from the soulsborne game. The boss fight have some inconsistency tho, some is really easy if you played the souls games, doesnt mean its bad tho, some boss attacks is kinda bullshit at first and some boss just requires timing even if its the first time you face it. Sucks for people dont own a ps4, the game is a real gem.
