Nintendo to dominate 2011?

Kind of a surprising thread. Given the available information, the Wii and DS's 2011 lineups are nothing special especially for systems that rely almost entirely on exclusives.

The 3DS's is strong, but now we're putting titles across 3 platforms under the the banner of "Nintendo" -- not a System Wars, but a company wars debate.

3DS Will pwn PSP2, thats a know fact. psp fail ds has the best library in the history of gaming lol i just over did it

I'm interested in Ratchet in Clank, KZ3, Last Guardian,LBP2, and the possibility of UC3. From Nintendo I'm interested in Last Story, LoZ, Pikmin 3, SSF43d,RE:M,RE:R, MGS3D, Kid Ikarus, LoZ OoT, Star Fox 64, MML3, and Paper Mario. Of course to ME PC wins with PSO2 alone.

We've seen nothing of Dragon Quest X or Pikmin 3. At this point, including them serves no purpose other than to inflate a list. Just wait until they're formally revealed.

Dominating this year and the next

Handhelds, yes.

Home consoles, no.

Two games don't dominate anything, and The Last Story hasn't even been announced for NA/PAL.

Some of the games on that list are good AA - AAA games however

1. The Studio Ghibli game will flop since all it's hype comes from the fact that it's Studio Ghibli.
2. Motorstorm isn't a good game series.
3. Ratchet & Clank deserves as much hype as Sonic Colors both games are past their prime.
4. What makes you think Twisted Metal will be as good as you remember?
5. Socom is a Joke.

As for Yakuza I'm predicting a solid 7.5 from Gamespot.

Yakzua 3 got a 8.0 soyea you never know. The first socom for ps3 was meh,but the series as a while is far from crap. On the twiseted metal coment how is that a rehash but zelda is ok? TM was dead for a while and they decided to bring it back and from what I seen its different from the first time it came out. Im guessing your not hyping ni no kuni for DS.

EhI guess in some peoples opinion. As for me I just dont care much for nintendo this gen. Maybe next gen I'll come around and get a nintendo console.

The DS has always dominated the PSP, but that in itself doesn't seem to generally win the year for Nintendo. The same applies to the 3DS.

This year the Wii has done very well though in terms of high quality exclusives, but next year looks lean so far.

Can't we agree that sony and nintendo are both going to dominate?

It's going to be pretty hard to top Sony's 2011. I haven't seen anything from Nintendo that indicates that happening, so no.

Personally theres two Zeldas from Nintendo so they win. But for most people sony wins due to the massive amoount of PS3 games. My PS3 will be one alot in 2011 once loZss is done

but i have to disagree, gamers with the PS3+ Wii + DS and later 3DS win 2011

and even better if you own all consoles and all handheld then your uber winner

i'll say Sony and Ninty are neck and neck

Xbox / PC has this easily.

Multiplats are superior on xbox if we are comparing consoles.

Wii doesn't get those multiplats. PS3 does but its lineup is still rubbish.

Most of the best games this year is multi imo. Gears will add extra boost to the lineup. Microsoft still has tricks up its sleeves!

Yet, it's gonna take a backseat to anything that sony has to offer.

If anything, the Wii is the platform you DON'T want to have next year.

Star Wars: The Old Republic

Red Faction: Armageddon

Crysis 2

Batman: Arkham City

Dragon Age 2

Mass Effect 3 (possibly)

Deux Ex: Human revolution

Dead Space 2

Portal 2

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

F.E.A.R 3

Rage

Max Payne 3

We should all be aware of the great vanilla that is Sony gaming and pretend there is a system war with handhelds as well as consoles when we already know the truth that Nintendo won both this gen without even making their console HD...really good competition out there right?
