Nintendo or Microsoft or Sony or PC , who got best gaming characters of all time?

Example,

Nintendo got Mario, Link , Samus.

Microsoft got Masterchief , Marcus Fenix , Joanna Dark.

Playstation got Kratos , Nathan Drake , Ellie.

PC got Geralt of Rivia, Gordon Freeman, Cate Archer.

Its a tough choice but try to let me know via the comments below.

On that note I would say Nintendo easily has the best characters overall with recognition and world appeal.

I also wouldn't list Joanna or Geralt as platform recognition examples, but that's just me, and I get what you are saying.

Kratos redesign is probably my favorite character around, so i'd go with Sony. Ellie is also my favorite psycho lesbian 🤗

Nintendo has really iconic ones, so that's kinda unfair.

Nintendo is a no-brainer. They've got the most famous game characters in the world. It's not even a fair battle, as Nintendo characters are more famous than the other three combined.

However, if you added Sega into the battle royale, then there might be some real tough competition. But even then, Nintendo would still take it in the end.

I don't see Sega there OP as they're the best, whereas Sony & Nintendo battle for the worst.

Would licensed characters count? Because then Sony can bring in Spider-Man and finally give Nintendo some real competition. That would make the fight fairer, as there's no way Sony's original characters can compete with Nintendo characters... Nintendo would still win though, but not by such a huge margin.

If you mean iconic, then it's gotta got to Nintendo of those 3. If you mean fully fleshed out, it's gotta go to Sony, since they build a lot of characters out like movie ones (not a "movie game" jab - just a natural effect of doing a lot of story-driven stuff)

Definitely Nintendo but Microsoft has a pretty good selection as well with Banjo-Kazooie, Doom Guy, Marcus, Master Chief along with some others.

3. Sony

4. PC

I'm going to give the edge to Nintendo as they have some really iconic ones. It's tough to beat that. However, I don't have a favorite from any system. I like characters from all of them.

There hasn't been a Perfect Dark game since the N64, and there won't be another so until Rare wants to get their shit together and actually do that IP correctly, I'm going to say Joanna Dark doesn't count.

Both PS and Nintendo on my top list. Been a fan of their consoles since 10 years of age.

Mario is like the Mickey Mouse of video game characters. It's iconic (and unlike the mouse, Nintendo still knows how to milk the hell out of it's iconic character).

Clearly Nintendo wins by a landslide if we are looking at globally iconic characters, but I tend to not give a shit about such things. Though Nintendo does occasionally still make a great game, they seem far lazier than other major developers. They rarely push the envelope, actually their whole strategy lately has been to NOT push the envelope, but instead to play it safe and crank out games with very low budgets. Selling 5 million or 10 million copies of a platform exclusive, but low budget game is pure profit, so I don't blame them. Their fans should demand more though.

I mean, how could you include any Rare characters when the most memorable characters from their games are iconic ONLY because of their entries on N64? No one on earth remembers Banjo, Conker, or Joanna Dark for their appearances on Xbox platforms...in fact, we try to delete those appearances from our memories.

Ahhh! I only played PDZ and PD sp. Great PSZ mp was awesome as well.

Yes, the MP was good, especially for its time. But the singleplayer was such a mess compared to the original. Its like it was made by completely another dev. In the original, they had full creative control. In PDZ, i bet you they were MS bitches, doing exactly what MS told them to, and it shows.
