Nintendo killing it.
awwwww bugger. I think i'm getting xenoblade again. looks like it's a bit more than just a retexture job too which is nice. i never finished it on the wii and it's been so long since i played it that i would probably need to start again anyway. usually i would just play the original version again but i have a big soft spot for Xenoblade.
Xenoblade X also badly needs a port. great game. doesnt make a great introduction of itself (well the opening is great but it gets a bit bleh once you hit NLA for a bit...and that NLA theme....AAAA!) but if you can get over it accidentally stepping on your foot it is also a cracker.
shame about xenoblade 2. going to wrack that up as a bit of a missfire to be honest.
and a bravely default 2. crap i need to finish the first one. it has the best victory theme in any game ever in the history of all gaming (i made it my ring tone :D).
Xenoblade Chronicles is a good game and, hopefully with this remaster it will make dev realize why Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was such a pile of garbage and avoid making mistakes when developing a sequel. Catherine Full Body is also a good game, shame no trophy/achievement support for it. Hunting for trophy of the game on ps4 was quite fun.
That said, ew remasters and ports. PASS
As a fan of Nintendo, this Direct was lackluster. Almost no new 1st-party announcements, but the confirmation that they're gonna reveal the Smash Fighter in June means that they're probably gonna do a big E3-style Presentation despite E3 2020 is shutdown. And that presentation is where we'll see more of their big first party offerings for the rest of the year. I can wait a little over two months for more news.
XCOM 2 and those Ring Fit Adventure updates were the highlights for me.
I was surprised on how popular Ring Fit Adventure is to where Nintendo has problem with satisfying demand.
Nice. Loved Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii so really looking forward to playing the spruced up version on the Switch. Also really looking forward to Bravely Default 2 so will definitely check out the demo.

I reckon its a bit of a quiet success story for them. it probably didnt do huge number at launch but i think word of mouth is giving it momentum.
it is really good at what it does too. it looks daft but it works.
This is awesome. We can re-buy the games we already have. Thank you Nintendo. You are the best. :)
MS roped me into the Bioshock Collection even though I played and bought all three original on the 360. Xcom and Borderlands I've never played so we'll see.
So, who's getting Catherine for the Switch?
Not me. Rented it on PS3 and did not like it at all.
I like what Nintendo are doing getting these 3rd party games to fill any gaps. The problem is I'd say the majority who wanted to play these games had on other systems.
So, who's getting Catherine for the Switch?
Me. I have the 360 version and really enjoyed it so I’d like to get the Switch version with the extra content.
So, who's getting Catherine for the Switch?
Oh yes. Loved this game since it was originally launched. Now we need Lollipop Chainsaw.
Looking forward to Xenoblade, never played the first one. XC2 was such a great game, I hope they keep making those.
Also that Ring Fit update is boss!
So, who's getting Catherine for the Switch?
I assume that the Switch version of Catherine will include the new female character competing for the protagonist's attention.
It's the Mini Direct, so that means a much bigger one is yet to come.
Kinda lackluster but not all to waste. Lots of 3rd-parties to push out.
I might double-dip the Burnout Paradise, because Switch desperately needs more car/racing games.
If XCOM 2 runs well, I might consider that one too.
I thought the Panzer Dragoon remake actually looked pretty good.
Also Ninjala may be kind of a Splatoon melee? I've heard one guy's impressions a year ago and it sounded pretty positive. It'll be free to play so I guess I'll give it a whirl.
Also I don't remember why I never played King's Bounty 2 but I do remember looking at it. Was that a good game? Same with Star Wars Jedi Academy, never played it. Is it any good?
I'm going to double dip on BioShock. F*** it... Its been a while since I played it and I can play it while in the garden in the spring.

I see you're living up to your userpic, by being a bird brain lol.
@i_p_daily: go troll somewhere else.
You're the one trolling, and that's funny coming from you when you made a thread lately where the information in it was wrong and the thread was for the sole purpose of trolling.
If remasters, demos, naming a character for a pre-existing game, and a collection of old games is "killing it" then this thread is a troll, but you're trolling yourself lol.
There were several games in the direct that I'm getting so Nintendo is doing their job very well imo. (Bravely Defult, Xenoblade, and Panzer Dragoon YES PLEASE!)
@jg4xchamp: If they give Xcom 2 the same attention as Civ 6, the port should hopefully be really good.
Anyway, that's a whole heap of games that i will probably rebuy on the Switch.
I also heard that King's Bounty 2 is getting a Switch port, which is amazing.
More HD ports, and only HD ports. I don't know how can anyone be excited for the Switch future.
It is the trend in gaming right now, and it is not just for the Switch. Expect as similar trend when games are re-released on 4K resolution.

HD ports have long ended on the xbone/ps5. You very rarely see them these days. On the Switch, tho its the only thing that's coming out on the system since 2018. Instead of slowing down, it will only accelerate because the Switch will not be able to run any third party designed for the ps5/xsx. This may not be an issue to someone who owns a Switch as a secondary system, but to those (and yes, these people do exist, and there's many of them lol) who own nothing else but Nintendo systems, the future is dark for your Switch. Not only does this make your system look like a pointless system, but Nintendo is charging full price for a lot of these games, and when its cheaper, its only a bit cheaper. Like what the ****?
