Nintendo is Japan's richest company again! (Sony #4)

Japanese business publication Toyo Keizai has released its list of the 500 richest companies in Japan, and Nintendo has come out on top.

Nintendo has a whopping 946 billion Yen in net cash reserves, and is - as we know - currently raking it in thanks to the incredibly successful Switch.

Nintendo's closest rival in the video game sphere is Sony, which came in fourth place on the same list. Sony naturally has other interests outside of gaming, such as consumer electronics and smartphones, which makes Nintendo's achievement even more impressive.

Okay, but Nintendo and Sony are both international companies, so their money comes from multiple places. On top of that, Sony isn't the only other company on the chart and isn't even in second place. Keep this in the media create thread.

And at the same time Nintendo cheaped out on their new main system as a company.

Fuq off, it's relevant in this thread because the Switch is helping Nintendo make more profits, as well as internationally. Especially doing smart business moves such as Super Nintendo Land debut during the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, teaming up w/China's biggest investment company and phone app distributor Tencent; since they're releasing the Switch in China, and has money making Mobile game apps such as Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. Sony a once mega conglomerate in electronics have fell from grace only surviving w/the Playstation Brand, their insurance division, and selling their camera tech to phone vendors isn't helping them long term.

And rightfully so. If you've been around as long as Nintendo has you'll assuredly have had a few foibles. But current gen Nintendo has been knocking it out of the park. Their hardware is pure genius. Ya, "underpowered" by flagship standard, but if you've actually played with one you would realize why I use the word genius. Rock solid hardware, currently responsible for at least my top three favorite games of this gen- Switches sales #'s are justified. Fighting against their competitors is something any of the previous console competition is not capable of, Nintendo has defined gaming as we know it and and haters will always hate but which ever gaming platform of their choice wouldn't exist if not for them. Fact!

Congrats to Nintendo, they sure know how to sell their sh*t.

Bad for gamers though, we'll have to keep up to buy their crap hardware to play their games.

There was also 2006, with the Wii vs PS3. Although it felt more like PS3 vs 360, while Wii did its own thing (the casual market). But now it feels more like PS4 vs Switch, with Xbone doing its own thing (whatever that is).

Wii U, the true competitor of PS4 is dead while nintendo is number 1, pathetic to say the least.
