Nintendo Ending Wi-Fi Connection in Japan on May 20th

NCL has announced the end of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for its Wii & DS consoles & games in Japan as of 11PM on May 20th, 2014.

This DOES NOT affect the Wii or DS shops.

Other services unaffected are:

-DS(i) Browser

-Demae Channel (Wii)

-Hulu (Wii)

-Youtube (Wii)

-Internet Channel (Wii)

-Paid services

Well that's unfortunate. But I can't imagine any of these with the possible exception of Pokemon were seeing a ton of traffic these days.

Well there are only very few online games and those are mostly dead... So no problem... You guys supporting Nintendo, now have this dead online. As long you guys support Nintendo, as long Nintendo do bad things.

Well, that's the thing. Sheep DID/still do (considering there are too many damn friend codes, one for each game, rightfully so) hate the Wii's online and with Wii U, things barely got better.

I think your argument would be much better if it was the Wii U/3DS and NOT Wii/DS, the latter running their courses.

i only use my DS to play occasional pokemon. They should keep the pokemon games servers up ,but down all other ones imo

My fondest Memories has to be playing The Conduit. The Single Player was pretty dumb, but the Multiplayer....That was true Gem. It's going to be sad to see it all go now.

Remember PS3 and 360 folk, this is a glimpse of the future of your systems. Play your Uncharteds and Gears while you can because in a couple of years you won't be able to.

No mega pokemon. If they're going to make mega evolution they should do it to a vast number of pokemon not a select few. Even with in those that have mega there's some a lot better than the others, influences you into having to pick one if you want to play challenging matches. If there's one thing i don't appreciate about game freak is how awful they are about balancing it's games, Every generation just keeps making the unbalance worse.

What the ****? I still play Pokemon online all the time :/

Other people do, game is becoming even more unbalanced. But that's my taste, I just believe if they was gonna introduce mega's they should have probably done it to buff pokemons that need buffing not the already good ones to become even stronger. Sure you can win against them and everything but i like a fair field and good fights consisting on them. Sinse you like them you keep playing with them, good for you. I can't say the same for myself for long sadly.

Megas are easy to beat, most of them have pretty bad typing.

I heard that the company that shut down the servers for sniper elite glu mobile now also has control over the nintendo wifi servers. Glu forces companies that use their middleware to pay tons of money to keep the servers for the products these companies make up.
