Nintendo 3DS 2016 lineup looks great

That's a very good lineup- for a system that is allegedly dying and on its way out, it's pretty clear that it's actually getting a pretty hefty amount of great games next year. After how disappointing this year was? Next year looks like a good return to form.

I'll go out on a limb and say it's a solid lineup. Though i'm only in for like, two of those tbh.

What vita's line up? Most of the Vita games are coming to PS4. Hello Gravity Rush 2 PS4.

Cutting the list down to games that arent ports and that interest me.

I always liked Fire Emblem. Final Fantasy Explorers caught my attention as soon as it mentioned the support role. SMT is SMT. As poor as the second half of BD was, the first half was still worth the money. Love creating my own parties. Etrian Oddysey has yet to disappoint, so that one catches my interest as well.

Im in RPG heaven, i cant believe all the goods, sacrifices shall be made. Ill start with Xenoblade, then Fates, then Dragon Quests, ill try to play half of them, not sure ill make it though.

Fire Emblem: Fates is all I need. Final Fantasy Adventurers and Bravely Second look worthwhile. Not a huge fan of Dragon Quest, but fans have been begging for 7 and 8 for a while now, so its good those are coming over.

A Vita is fantastic if you have no interest in a PS4 due to so many games being PS4/Vita. The only game I want that is exclusive to the PS4 is Bloodborne. I'm eyeing Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir, Ys 8, Danganronpa 3, and Zero Escape 3 next year.

I wish I could say the same for Vita's 2016 lineup :(

Well, looks like I know where all my money is going next year. SMTIV- 2, Bravely Second, Hyrule Warriors, Dragon Quest VII AND VIII and Zero Escape 3? Dear God, that's a good set of games.

Great? Too many RPG's. What about people who don't like RPG's? It might actually be an average lineup if it had just a little variety.

That list looks terrible for my taste. It might be good for JRPG fans, but for people that don't like JRPGs, the lineup is pretty terrible. The lineup needs more variety to be considered great.

This Nintendo Direct crushed it for the 3DS lineup. So many quality JRPGs and Hyrule Warriors doesn't look half bad being a port. Fire Emblem Fates is gonna be my jam for sure.

It's a great lineup, minus a few duds. A possible GOTY candidate there as well in FE: Fates.

Remember, a handheld title as GOTY isn't out of the ballpark. A Link Between Worlds took GOTY over The Last of Us, GTA V, and Bioshock Infinite in 2013. Good times.

These should do nicely as I don't play my 3DS nearly as much since getting a proper next gen console:

Call me a Pokemon fanboy but I would totally buy it if they released all the pokemon games remastered with the latest graphics.

No, they're not. They're VC titles but have been modified to do tradings and battles wirelessly

I can't wait for FE:Fates. I've been playing Awakening while I work overnight. Also, if you hadn't noticed me online, I had to get a new New 3ds XL (damn that sounded dumb), and I didnt get to port my old friend code over... ;(
