Next gen console PS4 or Xbox One?

If you factor in all the other features besides power I think it's safe to say it's the Xbox One. The PS4 is only 35% more powerful than the X1 but lacks features like the ability to run more than one app at a time, State of the Art motion and voice system, ability to watch live TV, skype calling, and more.

Well for GAMES, we ALL know PS4 is the place this gen for Multi plats and SONY's award winning, pedigree of world class, high scoring exclusives.

sure, the xbox one can do more interesting things, however i've heard its hdmi input isn't great. plus, i don't watch broadcast television. voice commands ... ah yeah maybe.

Why is it a good thing that consoles are trying to be PC's? Just focus on the games. If I want web surfing, skyping, multitasking, I have a PC.... PS4 is a lot better in that respect. I primarily play on PC but when I want to play an exclusive or what not, I want to play the fucking game. Not have a camera staring at me, forcing me to use it. I don't want to sync my MS account and use hotmail and fucking Bing. I want to play a game. Nothing else. That's the purpose of a console.

I wouldn't purchase either one at this time.. They both have a very small library and their hardware has done nothing to define it self from last gen other than adding shinier effects..

I spoke to a fella named pshawk07 and he wanted a PS4. His brother whawk17 wanted a Wii U and liked the Wii last gen.

I think you, xhawk27, should get a Xbone as your three hundred and sixty product pleased you well last gen, and you have been wanting Xbone for a long time.

I agree to a certain extent, I think PS4 will be lacking on features this time around. I mean my reason for buying the Xbox is that it was something different from any game console released before it. Like I've said before, each generation we pay for consoles that do the same thing as their predecessor just with better graphics the games don't change much just the stories and the settings.I like being able to leave a game for 3 days while I'm still using my xbox actively and come back to the exact same spot as well as watching netflix and hulu while playing Madden, or walking through my living room and my xbox being smart enough to sign me in without me having to stop, or Dlna, or multitasking as many apps as I want, or just using my console without any regard for were the hell the kids put the remote. I'm happy with my choice or else I fear I would turn into one of those guys with no games who spend all day in SW bored trying to rain on the peoples parade who are actually getting some use out of their system.#ConsoleNotADustBox

Not sure. I don't see the point though. IMO, Sony and MS should let PC's be PC's and consoles be consoles. Noone wants to check fb on their TV. We have tablets, phones, and laptops for a reason.

Couldn't have said it better. Microsoft has outdone itself with the X1. With some GREAT games coming out like Halo 5, GEoW 4, GTA5 and Mass Effect 4, the X1 is bound to surpass the PS4 in sales. X1 included a state of the art Kinect 2, as well as a better UI and Online play.

Sony made some huge mistakes by abandoning the powerful Cell processor, ending free online, not signing an exclusive deal with Titanfall, and not including a motion camera with the console.

^ This, a thousand times over. The only reason I haven't purchased a new console yet is because there is absolutely nothing impressive out. There isn't a huge difference between games from last gen and now...except shinier lol(cue the overrated Infamous shots). If they put out more games and really wowed me I would purchase a console in a heartbeat. Also...

They were going to add the camera but after seeing how less advance their camera is compared to Kinect 2.0 they dropped it.

Tried Sony's cam at my brother-in-laws house it's maybe on par with Kinect 1.0, you should not mention the PS4 cam in the same sentence as. Kinect 2.0.
