@MBirdy88: remember though, there is always truth in my trolling. I speak fact.

the truth is your a lemming with an ea games sized asshole.

direct x has been antiqued with the recent revisions made to open gl,

matter of fact direct x is copying off of open gl (this has happened before)

but direct x has no ability to adapt and hardware has to support it,

open gl is scalable, think of direct x as ios,

and open gl as android,

which is doubly proven because open gl is being implemented into all game engines (ue4, cryengine, source, unity, eventually frostbite)

is xbone built for direct x 13? no it probably wasn't built for dx12 neither, but since it is software it is probably custom coded for xbone.

but weak hardware is weak hardware, only optimization will mask those deficiencies.

KILLatWillis watch your mouth!

Anywho you seem like another cow that thinks OpenGL is good. LOL 96% of devs who use both GL and DX will take a dump on GL everytime. DX12 is the future and Sony will be left behind for not planning this future out.

Some of your other claims are just outlandish so there is no further discussing them.

96%, you are really a retarded lemming,

if opengl is integrated into cryengine (ryse), unreal engine 4(gears 4), source (duh) id tech 5(wolfenstien) frostbite (soon) unity, gamebryo, how much of a percent would that be?

why do you think people are embracing opengl?

Microsoft seeks to control everything (direct x, xinput, mandatory Kinect, paywalls etc....)

the games industry is reflecting that, even direct x 12 is a response to opengl and mantle outpacing dx11.2,

and will probably still out pace dx12 because,

Microsoft wouldn't do an actual comparison now would they?(I look to November x1 vs ps4 games for that evidence)

but what will happen when opengl receives another upgrade as soon as dx12 hits?

the xbox one is factually weak,

its just your imagination that fills in its flaws,

don't believe me? have the Kinect see the things you cant,

and Hotmail it to your xbl account as a voice command to say to yourself,

when those fingers start rumbling as you hold the controller in anticipation,

its not forza when you rev up,

its the moment when you know what I say to be true,

when those clouds will part and you will look up and see that it is the truth.

All of those features are going to be on new hardware. Of course the consoles get left behind when compared to the tech on the PC. The consoles have static hardware while each year new revisions of PC hardware comes out.

As for the PS4 getting a new version, I'm sure in 2-4 years we'll see a slimmer, cheaper version like we always see of consoles. They aren't going to change the specs though.

Also DirectX 12 isn't going to be out until late 2015. Fermi and newer cards support DX12 but it's not actually going to be used in games until late 2015.

Yes, history will repeat itself: we'll get newer version of PS4/Xbone and WiiU that are slimmer and lighter. But they never add new, faster hardware, that would not be a smart move.

If by new PS4, you mean a slim model with a larger HD bundled with an exclusive PS4 game, then yes.

There will a new design model and or a PS4 with a bigger HDD (like 1TB) probably late 2015-mid 2016. A updated PS4 hardware wise is most likely out of the question unless they need to tweek something to make it run smoother or prevent it from over heating.

I just don't see Sony updating the PS4 just for shyts and giggles.

doesn't matter because games themselves haven't advanced much in terms of gameplay since ps2. how does a shinier rock make a game more fun?

I don't think you all understand what I'm talking about this is where the INDUSTRY MOVING Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, and MS is talking about embedded memory, fast cache, unified virtual memory, and wide bit bus, NO BRUTE FORCE but instead DATAFLOW or SUPERCOMPUTER everyone BUT SONY even engines from devs are talking about leaving the BRUTE FORCE METHOD how would sony change the PS4 to fit the NEW methods or what can they do?

I honestly don't think you know what you are talking about

It's actually quite simple. The industry is moving to AMD, NVIDIA's house because microsoft is inbeded with melody, who has a fast cache, unified with flurtious marmelade and a wide butt bus. NO BRUTE FORCE but instead DAT FLOW or SUPERCOMPUDAH everyone BUT SONY even engines from divs are talking about BRUTE FORCE METH how would sony change the PS4 to fit the NEW meth or what can they do? I blame melody.

Yeah, I think so. Just like there will be a newer (revision) of the xbox one. Don't expect spec boost from either of them, for that you'll have to wait for the ps5/next xbox.
