Question 1: I can haz mod tags?The serious question 1: Is there any sort of plan, or discussion of some system to keep the alt accounts down, or at least keep them from posting to the same degree. Maybe something like the level 10 rule, but more automated?

Werent there around 40 votes? sounds enough to me but man had no idea it was cancelled i thought they are just taking their sweet time counting the votes lol

@finalstar2007: There were less than 30 votes (23 I believe to be exact or 27, I forget). I made the ultimatum that if we don't reach 50 votes in shutting it down. We didn't even come close to that marker. :(

Sucks to hear the System Wars Awards were cancelled. Truly the darkest times in System Wars history.

C'mon folks, for all the griping I hear about dat site redesign, I know you have questions for synthia... Ask ask ask.... There's a ten dollar steam game I it for ya if u win.

I don't have a lot of complaints about the redesign. I've gotten used to it. I love the notification setting, but there are two question I have:

1. The site has been a bit slower compared to the old GS. Will we see improvements regarding this? A faster website?

2. Overly long quote chains are making it a bit of a chore to read through a thread. I delete quotes from my chain as much as I can, because, like I said, it makes going through a thread harder.

Not to mention the fact that some users keep other users, not related to the conversation anymore, in their quote chain. This results in that user getting a lot of unwarranted notifications of a conversation he/she isn't part of anymore.

Is something planned for this, or is it up to the users to delete them? I remember it being manual like this ages ago, and users that didn't edit their posts got moderated. What can we expect regarding this?

Pretty disappointing to hear that i mean the awards used to be something really big that a lot of people look forward to at the end of every year and it was always successful so seeing it go down like that last year must mean something very bad happened and its most likely the big change that happened to the forums but here's hoping the next awards will be better ( assuming you guys are planning to do a next one anyways ).

GS forums diffidently need to make a lot of changes to improve things if it wants more people to be on it and be active.

i still believe the awards need to add some sort of easiness factor so that people get to be motivated to vote.

i think you guys need to open a suggestions box ( in this case a suggestions thread ) on how to improve the next SW awards and how to make users wanna vote.

I have a bunch of a questions but i think these are more of a bunch of suggestions/requests rather than questions lol but anwyays:

1. The new GS redesign isnt bad but it isnt good either so what sort of changes are you guys at GS planning to incorporate this year?
2. The old GS forum style had two extremely good features and those were A: The ability to tell if new comments were posted after your post in a thread and the number of posts that were posted after your own comment/post and B: a preview button that helped us Topic Creators to preview the entire thread before posting.. so my question is are we going to ever see those two IMPORTANT features come back? why are they not already here? features like this should have been there since day 1.
3. Posting a picture in a thread right now in the new design seem to always end up uploading the pictures into GS even if the picture was taken from a URL so why is that? uploading a picture sometimes take too much time and if multiple pictures its just time consuming i mean uploading a picture form your own PC makes sense but the requirement to upload a picture from a URL too? why?.. Before all we had to do is post the URL into GS and BAM the picture is up but now it needs to upload it and it will also be posted in our profile :/.. will this be addressed too?

"Hey, Synthia. Can you remember one time that was pretty hard behind the scenes on Gamespot that we the readers may not know about?"

I already brought up a suggestion on how to fix it. It involved using Google doc form. Basically, we have three threads with 5-7 categories in each thread (we do a thread one week at a time). On each thread, you list your top 1 to 3 nominations for the given category. Person One will receive 5 points, Person Two will receive 3 points, and Person Three will receive 1 point. The top four users with the most points get put on the google doc form where people will eventually vote. The SW King vote will get its own thread for users to vote on since it's the most important category. So in the end... we end up with less than 20 categories. A lot better.

@The_Last_Ride: glad to hear. Yours is coming up soon. I'm on holiday next week... Then when we come back well get future schedules squared away. Looking forward to it.
