@stereointegrity:
...Which was using the same engine COD2 was... And you can go further back. Back to the late 90s, I believe. All COD games to this point have been made on a heavily modified game engine from the 90s. Probably why it never really looks "great"

still running on ID tech 3
Honestly, who cares. It's COD
Exactly. Kevin Spacey isn't going to save the game.
the 10 million people who buy it will continue the shitty cod legacy. haven't had fun on a cod game since MW2
they confirmed it was a new engine
i will admit the trailer made me interested. not enough for a buy though
There was nothing spectacular about the graphics in the trailer, so more than likely it's the same old engine.
Cod has bigger issues than just the engine it uses. They have to seriously rework that formulaic single player.

On the contrary, I found everything spectacular in that trailer. Lighting, particles and textures being the dominant ones.
Its got to have been under development for quite some time since Sledge Hammer have been MIA. Getting an engine to look as legit as that with new tech / assets takes time.
Its a new engine.

It was a step up from current cod for sure, Plastic Kevin Spacey freaked me out tho with his cold, dead eyes.
Once again TC, you need to be aware of the rules of System Wars, as noted in the Survival Guide sticky. Users must have at least 500 posts before they can create topics.
Aside from that, there's very little discussion to be had from speculation alone. Best to wait for solid information to come in first.
