Because since we're all so negative here all the time, why not indulge all that negativity and try to quantify what bothers us about each system.

Name one bad thing about each next generation system- only one. I'll start:

XBOOX ONE:

• Price

PLAYSTATION 4:

• Lack of interesting exclusives for the first nine months or so

WII U:

• Lack of major third party support

PLAYSTATION VITA:

• Those Goddamn Memory Card prices

• Lack of an account system

XBOOX ONE:

• Kinect

PLAYSTATION 4:

• Lack off jrpg's

WII U:

• Stupid tablet

PLAYSTATION VITA:

• Little first/third party support

NINTENDO 3DS:

• 1 analogue stick

Chaz, I'll just take your list as you hit all of the notes I'd focus on. :P 

The games

X1: It exists. 

PS4: No interesting games at launch.

Wii U: Needs more 1st party games. 

Vita: What's a vita?

3DS: Battery life should be much longer on a portable system. 

Xbox One: Price

PS4: Online is no longer free

Wii-U: Third party support is going to be poor (as always)

WiiU- Too slim picking when it comes to games

XBOX - Price

PS4 - Pay for online play

Wii U - Lack of third party support, I want Bethesda and Rockstar on the Wii U

Vita - Price

3DS - Not a big fan of the 3D

Xbox One = Price

Playstation 4 = lack of innovation

WiiU = Specs

I'm going to name a few for each

XBone:

• Seems to lack direction after all the policy flip flopping
• Most expensive next gen console
• $60/year for XBLG
• Lackluster launch line up
• MS has a small number of quality first party devs

PS4:

• $50/year for PS+
• Poor launch line up
• GUI looks too much like Windows 8 and Facebook had a baby

Wii U

• Dumb name
• Underpowered
• Game droughts
• Gigantic controller
• Poor third party support
• Only 32GB storage
• Lol Wii U

 

XBone:

• $60/year for XBLG

Well a PC costs more then an X1. I mean logically it doesn't make much sense to pick one console over the other based on $100. Considering they are almost identical systems. I would say controller preference and online architecture is the biggest deal. You are going to be using this controller and using the online for the next 10 years. That is important in the scheme of things. $100 might mean something right now but it won't mean anything 10 years from now. Also it doesn't make much sense to hold a grudge on one of the two evil companies. If either company went out of business they would both throw the lube away and start screwing you hard.
