Most Addicting Game of ALL TIME?

So what game had you hooked for what seemed like forever, or currently has you hooked? I really dont want to hear anything like Uncharted 2 or Brutal Legend, since they JUST came out this week. For me, my most addicting game ever was definitely PSO on Dreamcast. I remember pouring hours and hours into that game, and staying up all through the night playing it. It was a simple game, but my god it was so friggin addicting. What about you guys?

That would have to be between...Diablo 2, DoA4, and Halo 2. No telling how many hours I put into each of them.

EDIT: Also Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Silver.

U2 and the first Uncharted. Games where I just had to keep on playing because I loved the story so much and wanted to know what happened. The characters where well developed in both.

World of Warcraft, i played that for over a year (in actual time)...

Addicting?

I got addicted to Halo 2 for the longest time. It was a drug.

Mine would have to be Final Fantasy XI. I put about 256 days of my life into that game. It was so addicting. I remember going 14 hour gaming marathons. The game was such a huge timesink.

Phantasy Star Online was very addicting, but it's no where as addicting as FFXI.

For me it was World of Warcraft. 110 days playedon my main, something like 70 combined for my alts. I finally escaped, but Blizzard had me hooked on the never ending quest for leet lootz...since as soon as you get what you spent 3 months farming for, something that makes it lawl badz just got added.

Phantasy Star Online was very addicting, but it's no where as addicting as FFXI.

probably Local Multiplayer for Counter Strike with my friends. sooooooooo addicting especially cs_deathmatch. i miss the old days. T_T

as for me, a single player game experience i have to say Sonic 2. the OST is just awesome.

Same here I'm still playing that game and i've clocked in 283 days, yeahi remember those 10 hour + days of finding a great xp group and you'd just want to keep going.

Diablo II (along with Lord of Destruction expansion) had me addicted from 2000-2008 LOL. I'm looking forward to repeating the cycle with Diablo III. -________-

Hmm.... three that come to mind are Pokemon Blue, Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.

I didnt say it before but Ill agree with Halo 2. Took alot of study hours away in college lol.

Let me also add Rock Band 2 to the list. It's becoming a time sink to me very quickly.

Id say counterstrike. I dont even like the game yet i feel like i need to play it regularly lol I just get so insanely mad when i play. I litterally turn into fps doug

You guys really got addicted to Tetris? Personally, I can't stand playing it any longer than ten minutes. Then again, that goes for almost all pure puzzle games.

Left 4 Dead for me. I still can't stop playing it.
