Microsoft should be outselling Sony worldwide

They've been putting a lot more effort than Sony. Aggressive pricing. Great content not available on PS4. Play Anywhere. Backwards compatibility. Hell, I played Gears of War 4 with friends on Xbox Box last night. They were amazed that was even a thing. We had a blast on party chat playing Horde mode. Too bad ranked matches are cut off.

Meanwhile all PS4 owners get is a price increase for their PSN subscription. Sony has been sloppy lately and are too comfortable in the lead.

I hope Microsoft keeps putting more pressure so Sony responds accordingly. The PS Pro is probably the most underwhelming piece of technology since the Wii U tablet.

I agree with the backwards compatibility, but content? MS has released flop after flop.

Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3 are flops now?

Euros love ps, they got Japanese game, they got summer lesson on VR! Oh yeah the bone doesn't have exclusives.

Naw, Xbone has no content. Backwards compatibility is not a huge selling point (especially when is pseudo bc) and Play anywhere allows you to play xbones nothing on the pc. Its nice, but its really shallow when you realize how little exclusive content there is to set it apart and most of its big exclusives have flopped and there is little diversity

Gears was a flop at least. That 7. and Forza isnt exclusive, so...

Halo and Gears getting worse each entry, all other new IPs flopped, every single exclusive gone to PC...

@Juub1990: Meh, we all know the lems would be doing the same if the shoe was on the other foot. We just have to wait for GS to have an adverse reaction to a PS game that was decent. The closest I can think of is SFV got a 7 here and a flop label, even though its pretty popular in the pro circuits and had a little under 80 meta average.

@Juub1990: naw its like 77 I think. Its solid, but I concede it has its faults. Im not really a fan of Gears, but I hear from my friends that the story was meh this time around.

The Xbone has been doing good, imo, but we can't erase the fact the PS4 literally has 100's more games for consumers to choose from (exclusives aside). SW plays differently over how the real world works. You mentioned "content" and the amount of quality games on both platforms (content/library) is critical when discussing what machine is outselling what machine. Sony has a huge advantage in not just high profile Japanese developers, but they've also courted indie and arcade developers while still receiving the same huge 3rd party games that both systems share.

Also, you may not be aware, but PS+ and XBLG are now the same price at $60 a year, it used to be PS+ was $10 cheaper than XBLGold (obviously you could find deals for both). The flipside is in theory PS+ subscribers should get better/retail PS+ titles that was afforded to GWG as XBLG was $10 more per year, and this month that is exactly what happened with PS4's Transformers and Resident Evil Remake HD.

I'm enjoying my gaming machines (PC, Xbone, Wii U, PS4, & Handhelds). Peace.

@Celsius765: if a 7 isn't a flop then there is a still a lack of games. PS4 has been getting multiple 7+ exclusive games a month.

FYI anything that is hyped AAA main franchise that doesnt get a 9 is a flop in system wars

@xxgunslingerxx: System Wars is too picky and needs to stop take GS reviews seriously. This hallowed out website hasn't been the same in years and lets be honest a reviewers opinion is not your opinion or the opinion of multitudes of gamers.

@SolidTy: even though the PSbore Is a good machine it has slowed down on the games front. I know that there are 1000 games I can play on the Xbox One, but how many does the PSbore have? You said hundreds more. So like 1300? 1500? 1900?

@Juub1990: Its just proof that people buy what they favor regardless. People, especially here, believe they can "back up" their preference. But in reality, there is NO Fuking need to. A guy could be the only gamer on earth who likes the a system. He isn't wrong for it, in fact he's sometimes heralded for "to thine own self be true".

I prefer The X1. The only thing I'll backup is the person who steps to my face, with my size or my AR.

They're really bad about marketing outside their North American market, so I've heard. Maybe they've slowed it down simply because of slower sales, I don't know. Maybe with the increase interest then maybe they'll start upping their marketing efforts in those regions. But yeah, I'd say fat chance of them outselling Sony, but it would be nice if MS can establish better footing in those other markets.

They have but the tables have turned the last few months. Sony's last worthwhile exclusive was Uncharted 4.

No they havent? Forza isnt exclusive, Recore flopped, Gears is debatable. All the lems want to say how awesome MS is doing, but they have been stalling for a while.

Xbox brand is inferior to PlayStation and that isn't changing any time soon. PlayStation is a worldwide brand Xbox is regional product. That's a fact.

As far Gears of War 4 is concerned it is an 84 on Metacritic and 83 on Opencritic. A good score, but a sub-85 score is nothing to be proud for one of your blockbuster IPs. Same for Halo 5. Xbox fanboys would still be trolling if Uncharted 4 scored an 84. Nintendo fans will melt if Zelda scores that low.

Truth is Xbox has no critically acclaimed AAA IPs left outside of Forza and the diversity of its library is clearly inferior to PlayStation.

Lastly Gears 4 had the worst debut for of any Gears game since the first (excluding Judgement) in the UK.
