Ooff. I've been going back and forth on this, but when I think about it, Sony has way too many games for it to fail just from CoD. Nobody's going to abandon the Sony ship just for cod, which MS isn't even going to make exclusive. They will probably sell 20 million copies of GoW by the end, same for tlou3 and uncharted. They lock down ff, and timed exclusive on games like persona. They you add in Spiderman and wolverine, bloodborne, demon souls, crotchety and more lol.

Sony and jim lyin cryan just sound like whiny little bitches. Bitches that MS needs to pimp slap 🤣. He's making all cows look bad, what a sad sack. They almost convinced me too, but when you step back and see what Sony has, there's no way there going down any time soon. People will just pay the $70 for CoD and stick to playstation instead of shelling for gamepass.

On a side note, good for Nintendo lol. It looks like they still haven't forgiven Sony. They were probably only too happy to sign this deal to eff over Sony.

You didn't answer my question. The game is bad, so nobody is playing it, but that's not the point. Why didn't those engineers work on the game before launch? The hit registration in Infinite is one of the worst around, and you can't do anything about it because its engine related. Your engineers have failed.

Yes, hit reg is completely off, that's what i am saying. MS engineers were simply not enough to save this garbage engine. They spent half a decade developing a new engine, and don't be surprised if its used for no more than one game lmao.

Yeah I played it with the November update and wow it's still bad but the main issue is that when you completely ruin a game launch it makes people never want to go back to it no matter what updates are made. Final Fantasy 14 had to be completely rereleased when they fixed it, they should've done the same with infinite

Must be through streaming because there's literally no other reason or technological gap preventing Activision from doing this themselves right now.

Only other option is perhaps a next gen console which would have meant Activision could do it themselves.

Exactly. At what point do the regulators see Sony's BS for what it is. MS are offering up 10 year deals to everyone, and Sony are pointing at them out to the regulators like pathetic children.

Sony are STILL market leaders by a LONG SHOT Call of Duty is not going to change a thing. MS are offering them a 10 year deal and they're STILL COMPLAINING.

And at the same time, Sony is screwing ALL the competition with all of the exclusivity deals they keep buying. This is why no one but cows has any sympathy for Sony on MS buying out anyone. Everyone else is like "they (Sony) kinda had it coming".

It's an absolute joke that regulators listen to Sony at all.

Sony can also use this opportunity to reinvest in SOCOM, Resistance, Killzone and/or MAG, or maybe even some new shooter IPs for PS5.

I still don't see this Microsoft/Activision-Blizzard deal going through though, nor do I see Microsoft actually committing and having the balls to pull CoD from Sony platforms.

It's interesting how Phil Spencer, assuming it's actually his account as I don't use Twitter, is speaking as if the deal has already gone through. Confidence most certainly, but a smart move in order to show that Sony is the one not wanting to cooperate.

@mysticaldonut: yes, Sony should do that and they probably will if MS takes over AB. Just because they don't want a direct competitor to hold all the cards, and they will probably invest in socom and kill zone again. Maybe even resistance. So even for cows, this acquisition going through is a great thing.

Personally I think this deal goes through, and if not the governments need to answer why they think a 3rd place competitor will strangle the market even when CoD isn't exclusive.

Before you get excited, realize: Activision is a publisher; they were making similar agreements prior to shopping themselves out. Don't take the PR moves seriously.
