i love MGS games and i didnt like that one that much. of the 4 thats my least favourite. but it was still amazing and i guess it is a BIT underrated. also try not to ask a question and answer it yourself

oh god no...MGS2 was overrated IMHO... Splinter Cell is underated, Dues EX underated, even KOTOR was underated with all its acolades... MGS2, slightly above average...
MGS2 is not that great. 95% of the game is spent on that annoying Strut complex. All the rooms are the same... boring. MGS3 was extremely overrated and was like a step back in time with not having a radar, and not being able to see enemies but them being able to see you. They need to change the camera angle in the MGS series so you can actually see enemies before you're right next to them, hopefully MGS4 will fix that. And it can't be underrated if all the mags rated it highly. Underappreciated maybe, but not underrated.

It scored 9.6/10 and sold incredibly. It was one of the major reasons so many bought their PS2.the-very-best

MGS 1 was outstanding, but 2 & 3 just didn't do it for me. I played through MGS2 just wishing that whiny little sh** Raiden would just shut up. I'm of the opinion that after the oil tanker opening in MGS2, the point where you take control of Raiden is where the series jumped the shark (to use a TV term)

First time I played through both games I liked MGS2 more. Now I like MGS3 a little more, partly because Snake > Raiden but Raiden certainly looks to be a very different person in MGSIV.

They did fix the camera angles in MGS3: Subsistance.
it was my favorite of the series. best story, best cutscenes, and imo best gameplay. the only thing it wasnt best in was graphics(mgs3 gets that title).
Its got some of the best graphics ive seen before this gen. I wouldnt go any further though. I was never wowed by the gameplay, but it was a good game with a deep story.
MGS2 got a 9.6 and is one of the highest rated games at GR. It is not underrated. If ne of them was underrated here score wise, then it was MGS1. Subsistence is still my fav though.

and enemies only see you if your next to them, or if you dont have camoflauge
