Metro Last Light - Weather/Lighting king

Looks awesome, can't wait to get it.

I hope the game is well optimised for PC and works beautifully with DX11, unlike Metro 2033.

Yeah that's kinda the point. nuclear fallout and all that. Plus you spend a lot of time underground in tunnels, you know, where things are dark gray and brown all the time

Metro 2033 looked fantasic and I really enjoyed all my play throughs. Last Light is looking even better :D

I am BORED of First Person Shooters, but this one seems interesting. Hopefully the gunplay doesn't suck much and hopefully there are different things to do than just shooting.

A few years playing on PC you can spot bad textures a good bit away, even in youtube videos. They aren't high quality assets, best part of the game is the lighting it would seem but Metro is like the king of good lighting as the gif above shows

The lighting in Last Light is way more advanced than what's in TLOU, though TLOU is way ahead of most other console games too. Light bounce isn't anything new, Cryengine has been doing it for a while

Graphics look neat but I never liked Metro as an FPS. The book was pretty cool though. I just think it doesn't translate very well in the form of a linear FPS.

Oh yeah Stalker >>>> Metro (just throwing that out there, for the sake of SW). Too bad Stalker 2 is not going to be realized any time soon. 

 

Playing it at 1600p, that's what I'm worried about.

im late to the thread but are u actually trying too compare a game made for a console with 7 yo hardware to a game made with the latest pc technology

the last of us looks as good as it can but is nowhere near, so....

Metro will be godly. The game looks brilliant, and if it's purely story driven without the filler (something the first metro did quite well) I'm totally on-board. 

im gonna enjoy both last light and tlou, so you guys are stupid arguing
