Do you think the three console corporation's used the right colors for promoting their console.Example:Sony uses blue,MS uses lime green,etc... Please tell me what you think?
Or do think this is just a wasted thread?
Thank you for your replies.

Its a good question since marketing colors are very important. Nintendo's new colors look amazing in the stores. They stand out.
We need purple. Purple can look pretty awesome too but everyone ignores it.
We had purple, the industry ignored it.
I must admit that I've never been that bored to even think about the colours each company uses.
It's a better question than the umpteenth graphics thread lol
Sure. We could also look beyond the consoles to other distribution platforms, like GOG (purple), Origin (orange), Steam (grey/unsaturated blue), Blizzard (various blue colors), and Oculus (white-on-black). I don't have any particular issue with any of them.
There is something innately pleasing about the Nintendo red, nonetheless.
Looks great to me, tbh
Like the 3 main characters in Yu Gi Oh lol
Or like Pokemon :P

Never said it wasn't, I was just expressing my thoughts that's all.
Now that you mention it I think this thread is better than talking about exclusives that people don't play but talk about because of their metacritic scores don't you think? that and sales threads.

Hope it was an o.k. thread to make?I don't normally make good/original threads. This topic came to me while I was at work, and on break.Wanted to know what others thought.I think all three colors fit well for themselves.I wonder what color Atari will use for it's console? If Atari is actually is coming in the console race like the rumor says so??

Was never having a go at your thread, I just stated that I would need to be pretty bored to think about it. Now i'm not saying you were bored or anything, but like I said it's a better thread that some of the regulars here make, I too don't make many threads here (just 2 in fact) so i'm not here to judge it.
The hue of the red w/ Switch is very nice. Maybe this will be the one Nintendo finally adopts as a brand/logo template.
I think all three have made an excellent choice when it comes to the color they've chosen to associate their brand to. IMO, each is pleasant to the eye. I'm sure each company had a team of marketing analysts specifically put in place to determine the exact color/hue they would be using. I'm also a fan of the old-school PS logo on a black backgroud(mostly our of nostalgia), but having a singular vibrant background color behind a white logo is feels modern and simple. To each their own, though.
Nintendo's new color scheme is lit. It's definitely an attention grabber. I love my Sony products to death but next to it that plain blue logo looks kind of dull imo lol

Nintendo used to have this red as their primary scheme until the Gamecube when they began to deemphasize it (but still kept it). They ditched it with the Wii and DS, but slowly started to bring it back with the 3DS, and now here we are.
If I were Nintendo, I'd use blue or green to fool people into thinking they're buying something better.

It wasn't the color they ignored, it was the B-tier garbage associated with it.
