Kingdom Come: Deliverance is free on EGS for a limited time! Who doesn't like free games?

If anyone has any doubts, here's the link: Kingdom Come: Deliverance free in EGS from February 13-20 and with all the praises I heard about this game, I'll gladly get it for free. But of course, if you don't like "free games," you can get it on Steam or GoG for $15 going on sale.

Unsure if I'll play it though. Not a big fan of realistic medieval stuff..

Combat was literally impossible to win against an armed opponent, and I cant even recommend this game at this price. Way too many gameplay issues.

Sweet I missed the humble bundle month that had it. I don't wanna play it on Xbox gamepass either since I feel that time can be used for shorter games.

I never had a problem fighting armed opponents once I got armed myself. The problem is when you get in fights that are 3 or more enemies in a group.

yea, you just need to practice. it tries to simulate what it'd be like as a peasant with no fighting skills, gradually becoming competent at it.

I tried to enjoy this game but the fetch quest killed it for me.

@with_teeth26: Enemies come straight for you, and you cant flank them or get behind them. Just got frustrated and gave up after a few hours.

I tried it a couple of months ago and just couldn't. Not my cup of tea.

I added it to my Epic account even though I already own it on Steam. I've put over 30 hours in KC:D but never finished it - can't remember why I even stopped playing it. I guess I lost interest at some point.

I enjoyed the more hardcore parts of it though. Hunger, tiredness, thirst, as well as getting in the shoes of a useless nobody. The historical and realistic setting was also quite interesting and refreshing.

My Gamepass expired last month and won't be renewing Gamepass until Halo: Infinite arrives. I always wanted to play this game and being free on EGS is a nice welcome surprise.

Don't forget to get mods that fixes some issues and even outright optimizes the visuals/performance even more. The mods made the game run and look better for me.

I agree. Just know it has high requirements.

Also it is more of a medieval sim than an action game.

But it's so good!!!! Just takes some adjusting.

Another reason I didn't want to play KD:C through gamepass would be because I wouldn't be able to mod it due to UWP. I'm waiting for a couple more games on the PC side off gamepass to come out and another promotion. They recently got A Plague Tale: Innocence so if they could get 2 or 3 more games I want onto gamepass I'll get it again. I am probably going to be waiting till Halo Infinite comes out since it will most likely have a gamepass promotion for it. I also want to play Gears Tactics but I can wait on that.

Kingdom Come is one hell of a game to get for free.

This is a welcome surprise. The Aztez game looks intriguing too.

Yeah but does EGS have built-in mod support?

The only game you can Mod on EGS is Farming Simulator 19 from the main menu of the game that says "Mods" and that's all we know so far when it comes to modding. EGS was supposed to have mod support last year but they fell behind lol.

I heard the game is insanely hard. Unless it has some type of invincibility or god mode cheats, I am not interested.

Jesus Christ...just retire from video games already.

Game has shit combat, free is too costly of a price.

And now I'm disappointed again that I missed out on the humble month that had Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

@jg4xchamp: Shit is putting it mildly. I know the game aims for realism but you gotta throw this out the window when it completely ruins the combat.

@xantufrog: Using the Vortex tool from nexus mods, yeah. I dunno if it breaks the game tho, but I do have the GOG version.

In any case, get it on Epic and maybe just crack it if it breaks with mods in EGS.

OMG This is an amazing game if you are interested in the medieval times. It's such an underappreciated gem. It has major flaws, totally. (The ending is butchered for one. Several quests were bugged so I couldn't finish them. Some staircases were fatal.) But it does something that other games can only dream of: Somewhat accurately represent a time and a place.

I would go so far as to say this is the only worthwhile historical video game ever made. And I hope it will be the start of many more games of this nature.

As someone mildly interested in history this game just grabbed me with its attention to detail especially the architecture and environments. And the clothing. And the combat. Yes it's not as fluid and telegraphed as in a 'normal' video game but this is the only somewhat realistic sword fighting you have ever seen in a video game or on TV. It doesn't (so much) make the same mistakes that medieval movies make over and over again.

If that doesn't at least get you a little bit interested in this game, then it's just not for you. But personally, I say we need more games like this. I need it, anyway. I cannot wait for their next project. And shame on the websites that were avoiding reviewing this game.

The combat is fun once you learn how to swordfight. Also, the tense, dread filled atmosphere during the whole returning to Rattay questline wouldn't have worked if you could slaughter everyone in your path.

It's an awesome game if you want to roleplay in your RPGs. IF you want a Bioware / Bethesda experience, then Kingdom Come probably isn't for you (although at launch it was as buggy as a Bethesda game)
