Just reading through the Twitter threads, or this ResetEra thread will illustrate how the 343 response doesn't add up/make sense. (One user posts: The palette name isn't even based on the tag name, it is all controlled serverside hence the fix without a patch. So, using the tool as an excuse just doesn't hold up either way.) Why would the tool name be used instead of some default or placeholder title? There is 0% chance it was just some oversight for a Juneteenth nameplate... Or the 343 QA team is really that bad...

Whether they're telling the truth or not, this is a really bad look.

Indeed. I went as far as to mention Ubisoft. And trust me, i get it, its hard to believe, but yes, Ubisoft. Some people (like myself) tend to forget Juneteenth is a federal holiday as it was introduced last year. The lack of knowledge of Juneteenth is one thing, and even if you didn't know about the holiday, it's easiest one of the most important moments in U.S History. 343 may be the laziest Halo developers but I won't bad mouth them cause everyone makes mistakes and they correct this so all is good on 343's part.

They acknowledged their error and took corrective action.
