You've heard the good news already and since I haven't played a single Halo game, I'd like to know which one is the most popular, which might as well be the best one.
So, what's your fav Halo game?
In this order from best to worst: (campaign-wise)
Didn't include Halo Wars because it's different from all of those, being an RTS. It's worth a play, in my opinion, if you want to know a bit more about Halo lore.
Multiplayer-wise, this is the order from best to worst:
Didn't include CE because XBL didn't exist back in 2001. It's worth mentioning Bungie pave the way for the Halo series to be where it's at but 343 Industry isn't even trying but I do hope they do justice with Halo Infinite.
@davillain-: Odd how you put 5 as last when it’s one you haven’t even played.
Dude, you need to turn off you're Xbox fanboy mode and not just me who was disappointed in the campaign, Halo 5 campaign was so disappointing, I'm not the only one who hated it, this was discuss multiple times here.
I stand by my statement.
I would rank them all as inferior to good shooters such as fear, half life 2, unreal tournament 2004, cs and doom.
I've only played 1 and 2 on the og Xbox and didn't like either one. I played them just for the campaigns (no mp) and thought they were really lame even though the story had so much potential. I do think Master Chief is badass though and understand why the games are so well loved (mp).
Played 1 on PC after the massive hype, was mystified. Of course, I soon came to the realization pc gaming had been that use to higher standards and most console gaming critics probably never played a proper FPS before.
Like a child who's seen the sky through an eye-hole his entire life, removing that filter is obviously awe inspiring. For the rest of us, it's just another day.
@davillain-: How have you played it though? You’re the guy who points out - daily - that ‘Xbox sucks and I play their games on pc’.
Or are you simply taking internet trolls as fact?
Personally, I think I played the campaign for about ten minutes. It was meh. But it’s Halo and it’s strength is multiplayer and that’s where it shines.

I did played Halo CE on PC. and it was pretty average game. with most repetetive level design in FPS. although it was better than abysmal games like bioshock and wolfenstein but still it was pretty average.

I'm more surprise you didn't ask me this question in the past.
Back before MS finally porting their games on PC, I didn't get an Xbox One until a year later after launch and MS ditch Kinect mandatory BS. I went out and got Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Xbox One custom edition (1TB for a good deal) and yes, I got Halo 5 and this may surprise you but my all time personal favorite Xbox One game is and still Rare Replay. I gave my Xbox One to my Daughter only because she needed a Blu-Ray player but she mainly games on PC & Wii U for the most parts. I still own Xbox One in my house.
Never said Xbox One sucks, I just don't care for it.
Halo CE 10/10
Halo 2 10/10
Halo 3 10/10
Halo ODST 10/10
Halo Reach 10/10
Halo 4 7/10
Halo 5 8/10
Halo 3 is the best Halo, followed by Reach, 2 and then CE. Campaign wise CE and 2 have the best ones, followed by 3, Reach then ODST. Bungie Halo games are one of the few campaign story's that I feel really involved in, and that while they have the broadest and most varied Multiplayer modes of any FPS shooter out there.
Halo 1&2 still tops, but i did not play 3 in coop. The first two games are better than anything coming out today, im sure.
Between the first two games i dont know Halo 2 has that guitar.
Reach was a chore.
4 was great.

I agree. Halo 5 campaign was disappointing.
My ranking:

Clearly you haven't played Halo 5 MP if you think it is last.
I only liked the first one and that was mostly due to the time period it was released. It got pretty silly after that.
I enjoyed most of them somewhat equally overall in general but I’d probably rank them as such:
1. Halo 3
2. Halo 5
3. Halo 4
4. Halo 2
5. Halo CE
6. Reach
7. ODST
