Right now the service is a bargain, and in an year when the AB deal goes through, it will become even hotter.

But MS isn't a charity, and I don't see the $15 price lasting forever. I personally see $25/month as my limit. After that, I'd rather just buy the games outnright. $25 /month is $300 per year, but that would guarantee at minimum. 5 or 6 big AAA game releases per year if not more, each one worth $70 at launch. On top of all the mid tier games too.

Hopefully it stays $15 though. What about you?

Here in Canada it’s $50 for three months of Game Pass Ultimate. I’d be comfortable paying twice that amount. Just don’t tell Microsoft that though as I’d prefer to get as much of a deal as possible. 😅

the $10 I'm paying now lol. Seriously though it would depend on what kind of content. I started gamepass because of flight simulator. AOE4 and Mass Effect Legendary Edition are recent games keeping me on it. If they make it worth it with games I want to play then I can tolerate $15. More than that would be a hard sell.

None got a month free though with a CPU purchase. Also, have two 33% off offers from Amazon.

I would usually spend around $240 -$300 a year on various Xbox games. The $180 I pay for GP Ultimate right now feels like I’m stealing.

If the price increases to $20-25 a month, I’d be OK with it.

I pay 1 pound per month,with the twice yearly 3 months for 1 that's a huge 8 quid a year.

Personally if the price rose to a unacceptable price for me,I'd get it the months when games I'm interested in release.

Contrary to cows butthurt claims GP will never be 50 dollars a month, daft twats

No more than 15 or MAAAAYBE 20. I'm not saying they can't make it worth more than that on a spreadsheet - I'm just saying I can't game enough in a month to feel it's worth it to ME. I tend to buy games for myself that I really know I want to play, so that adds money to my gaming budget and time to my game time budget as well, so GP isn't even close to the whole picture for me. Because of that, it wouldn't take a ton for the scale to tip into "I'm paying for this but not getting through the content fast enough to warrant it"

The most I will go is $20/month. ATM I cheap so I only buy when it is a deal so typically I pay $9 for ultimate.

6$ for gamepass or PSnow no more since most of the games will be crap and fillers, most people that have a full time job might be lucky to finish 10 games a year or if you are a parent maybe less,

$20, I know it's $14.99 if you want both Live and Game Pass and it's $9.99 on its own.

Probably $29.99. I have a Series S, so GamePass sort of makes the console for me.

Nothing. Wouldn't be worth it for the amount of gaming I do.

@simple-facts: exactly hahaha. MS wants to expand the number of users. Right now they're at 25 million subs. If they can get it to say 100 million subs, then that's close to 19 or 20 billion in yearly revenue, at current $15 prices. I'll round it down to $14 billion or so because not all are ultimate subscribers. That amount is just base subscription revenue and doesn't include micro transactions, dlc content, expansion packs etc. All of that could add up to even more.

They don't need to bring the price to $50 per month to profit, since they own most of the biggest games already.

@SOedipus: thats fair too. You need to do the math for yourself to see if it's worth it.

@sheep99: I can see your point about not having time, but I feel like it's a great deal if you're a parent with kids. You don't need to buy so many games, since gamepass will just fill cover that. Then again, you're right that it depends on how much time you spend on gaming.

@Archangel3371: for sure I'm with you. I hope MS subsidizes the service as long as possible. I mean, I do want them to be profitable enough, otherwise MS won't see any point in continuing the service. $15 for gamepass seems like a good price target.

@Pedro: that's cool too. I might do that too after my subscription ends. Its always good to shop around or wait for deals.

@sheep99: for younger kids, yes, they can just play whatever free game is out there. As they get older, gamepass might make sense. To each his own though.
