How is the winner of the System Wars decided?

I've always wondered this, just want to know what the general opinion is. What do you think?

It's decided by whatever helps your arguement.

There's not a definitive answer. People can use whatever logic or opinion they like.

SW decided to be all angsty and rebellious and voted anarchy as the ruler of this board. So, we have no set way to determine a winner.

In general, I would say sales, in this place I believe it's games.

dont say but wait wii sales have slowed in japan , , they havent slowed much in the most important country just yet , ,

and theres a possibility for wii to pick up again once games like zelda and mario and metroid hit , ,

just like when mariokart and ssbb hit and punchout etc etc these are the number one reasons nintendo is still around they know how to make good games

continiously , , even though gc sold only 25 mill , , it was home to most of the best exclusives from a first party company ,

I don't think anyone contests the fact that the Wii is winning sales and will probably win this generation for sales. That said, while the Wii may have some good exclusives, PS3 has every console beat hands down in the quality of exclusives department. To deny that is on par with denying that the Wii is sales king at the moment.

Sales, there is no other way to measure a winner. Sure some people say that the Dreamcast had the best games of all time, and maybe that's true, but it bombed financially almost as hard as the virtual boy, and sent SEGA out of the console market forever.

Mhmmm, you're entitled to believe what you want. However in terms of flops, exclusives scores and listings and amount of AAAA,AAA,AA,A games, we use Gamespot scores. If people wish to bring other scores up conversationally, or inform people of other scores, then that's fine.

So in terms of deciding which system wins in "System Wars", we use Gamespot scores. Which shows that Forza 3 attained the same score as UC2.

It used to be sales because the most popular console sales-wise had the most fanboys on this forum. Since the wii happened, different fanboy groups try to spin their own rationalizations to make sure they 'win' no matter what.-Feath-
