Can't link on mobile, but the shit show is going to be fun
Almost heaven... west virginiiiiaaaa
So close now... cant wait!! Bethesda already crashed according to CDproject red nerds.... but that wont stop them from making fantastic games that sell like gangbusters.
The prospect of a living, breathing, constantly updated wastland has me hype... and already has my money.
Another broken piece of shit is about to flood the market, and Bethesda's corporate slaves will circle the wagons around them anyway. That's on them, cuz I ain't buyin' it. We've made a market ripe for half-assery so this is what we deserve I guess.
Well to be fair, depending on what they do, “spectacular” bugs can be pretty hilarious and entertaining.
@lundy86_4: I got a chuckle out of some strange things in the Fallout and Elder Scrolls games. As long as they don’t break the game and cause me to waste time losing progress I generally don’t get too bothered by bugs and glitches.

YES! listen to this man right here
@Archangel3371: Same. It's one of the reasons I chucked stupid hours into Oblivion, though not as much for Skyrim. My biggest piss-off was with New Vegas -- in which Obsidian had to use the awful Gamebryo engine -- and the game-breaking bug where save files were corrupted. I remember putting in decent hours on the 360, and then getting screwed lol.

For being heavily online, it could bite them in the ass... Pretty bad. I'm buying 76 because my brother is pretty excited, but i'm skeptical. They'll get my sale, and so long as it isn't just downright catastrophic, I probably won't attempt a refund.

True; it being glitchy online could be really bad -- like game-breakingly bad.
Still, I almost am looking forward to the glitches that will be in this one.

They could be hilarious as shit. There's a reason the Todd Howard meme has been so popular lol. At the end of the day, i've loved ES and Fallout (though I never played Fallout before 3.) Being able to play a Fallout online with my brother is highly tempting... We often have fun, although I do team-kill every once in a while to annoy him lol.
This could launch in a literally unplayable state (as in, crashing on the main menu), and it would still get 9/10 scores.
Bethesda fans don't exactly care about quality.

They usually are, unless they're game-breaking. It's almost like we buy Bethesda games for the bugs.
Bugs is half the reason I could see someone buy a bethesda game, the other half is the broken systems and balance.
It's always fun to see how fast you can completely break a a Todd Howard game.
@Planeforger: please.... Bethesda fans are spoiled by quality. So much so that other games look drab after going through a BGS adventure.
So an enemy will clip a rock once in a while, get over it. Event scripts run great, which is crazy for how many moving parts there are.
Some people seem so bitter about this game purely because Bethesda had the nerve make a game not aimed at the SP audience.

Moving away from singleplayer orientated games has been a trend in this industry for a while now. Look at BLOPS IIIIIII and all the backlash it had over being the first mainline game in the series without an SP campaign.
Though singleplayer games are far from dead, we can certainly see a shift in the AAA space where there is more focus on multiplayer modes.
The reason I feel that so many AAA developers are now developing online games instead of purely singleplayer games is because of all the easy money that can be made off Games as a Service, microtransactions and free to play economies.
Lol you know it’s hard when they actively warns about it before launch! No doubt the fans will eat it up anyway, and yeah I am sure they will remember to send the checks in good time to all the review sites, so it can get they usually 9/10 10/10 scores despite being shit
Can't wait for publications to award it 10/10 and then even defends Bethesda bugs.
Just because a game has bugs or glitches or even crashes, doesn't mean it can't score a 10/10.
Actually it should and to make matters worse the same reviewers defending it by saying Bethesda games have personality and they should be given a free pass because they work with small teams or something to that effect.
No idea, I don't spend much time wondering how people might fail at something. Got the game pre-ordered and looking forward to playing it, huge Fallout fan & I like online gaming. Read a lot of positive impressions from yesterday's beta(yes I know there are some bad ones too, as usual), but I'll find out for myself soon.
Given how last gen and disappointing F4 was, they deserve it. I mean sheesh, they could've created a genuinely new map for this new game, but no, the world looks pretty much the same as in F4. To whit; lacklustre, last gen, and dull.
Good bye, and good riddance, Bethesda.
They should have given Obsidian a chance to make another Fallout game and continue the classic lore of NCR, Caeser's Legion, and the dying Brotherhood of Steel.
Part of me wants to admire them more admitting what is a basic truth of online-centric games. I mean let's be honest, what multiplayer game has had a flawless launch?
Part of me feels like if they know there is a problem or going to be a problem, they should seek it out and fix it before releasing the game.
*shrug*
Telling gamers upfront you're game is going to be a mess isn't a get out of jail pass.
Delayed and creating a polished game is.
The game isn't going to crash and burn or do anything to Bethesda financially or otherwise... other than perhaps have them start working on a future Fallout MMO if the game is successful. Which is about guaranteed...

Posting anything on a mobile phone is the least ideal thing to do. Why not post the thread on your PC?

A game scoring 10/10 literally means a perfect game.
Scoring that with the amount of glitches and shit that Bethesda games are known for, just means paid reviews, which of course we already know are a thing.
On topic: While I really enjoyed Fallout 4, 76 looks like a mere expansion pack, no way worth buying a launch or ever.
I'm waiting for the real next Fallout game.
Some people seem so bitter about this game purely because Bethesda had the nerve make a game not aimed at the SP audience.
I'm surprised they are announcing "hey guys, bugs!", since that's every Bethesda game.
Shit, to this day Daggerfall is basically unfinishable unless you save-scum.

Didn't have access to my PC at that time?
@EvanTheGamer: “A game scoring 10/10 literally means a perfect game.”
Except it doesn’t. It just means the reviewer can’t give it any higher recommendation. Gamespot doesn’t use the word “Perfect” for the games it gives a 10 to, but “Essential.” IGN goes one further in its description of a 10 game: “There’s no such thing as a truly perfect game.” Game Informer calls its 10 games “nearly perfect.”
I think the best workaround for this misconception of “10 equals perfect” was, I believe, OXM’s scale that ended at 11. They called it the unicorn of gaming, a perfect game, and said that as no game would ever be perfect, 10 was the max score a game could get.
Played the beta, and it was not good, tbh I'm surprised how gentle a lot of the youtube videos are being, aside from the usual stuff expected from a new Bethesda launch with the gamebryo engine and the hiccups you expect from a beta the core shooting mechanics are just poor, like very very bad and the implementation of VATS which usually helps mainline fallout games is awful in this game, another unwelcome change is the switch from Fallout 4 where when you see an NPC wearing an item you can usually loot said item, not the case in fallout 76. Another point of concern I noticed whilst playing was currency accrual which seems to be sluggish and I have an awful feeling this will transition into the scummiest of scummy practices when it comes to service games. Fallout 76 from what I can tell is a destiny like game in that it is a "shared world shooter" with a coat of fallout inspired paint, unfortunately whereas Bungie's destiny can fall back on a very tight core shooting experience and the way in which movement, player abilities and weapons all interact with each other Fallout 76 lacks this saving grace leaving you with a shallow experience frustrated by unrewarding shooting mechanics and a reliably buggy game engine. I'm sure the game will do fine trading on the fallout name but I expect this to be rightly savaged by critics.

Do you know why some half-finished games sell millions and even record break?
Because a game can be fun even with bugs. Often, these new experiences are born out of teams that are willing to take the risks.... yea we arn't talking RDR2, GTA5, Ass Creed, God of War / Spiderman level graphics, animations and all-round bug free presentation ... HOWEVER .... that doesn't stop those other games being MORE FUN or just generally more ambitious games in general...
Something this forum seems to forget.
But hey, reviewers gave League of Legends a 5-6 not understanding the "new market"
Theres more to gaming than the same genres being polished to death.

^^^ Case in point. Not everyone wants to be a beta tester. People want a game that mostly works. Hopefully this game will be scored lower for broken shortcomings. Games should be scored on what they do, not their potential.
