i can't wait for garrus to search his pockets for his asthma inhaler.

yeah, that will add to the blistering action that mass effect is missing.

Yeah not going to happen. The blogger that wrote this article sure got a lot of info out of a revel trailer didn't he? I guess if when playing ME3 you have to make a bunch of complicated stick, and button movements to get the same effect as pressing the x button then Heavy Rain inspired ME3.

Let's see I want Garrus to open the door. Let's hold down on the A button, move the left stick back and forth, followed by slowly pushing on the left trigger, not too fast or it won't work. Ok door is open. Yep that is the ME3 world inspired by the Heavy Rain world. I want to go on a mission to rescue Jack. Nope I need to spend 10 minutes setting the table in the Normandy's mess hall first.

I'll put it this way if ME3 does actually end up with Heavy Rain's floating words method of picking conversations I won't be buying it. The current system works fine. I doubt Bioware will be changing it. They've been using it for quite awhile now.

I still think Heavy Rain related topics should go in the Off-Topic Forums, since it's there that we discuss movies.

I think it's great ! The storytelling in heavy rain was spot on, good to see other developers learning from it.

Master_ShakeXXX

To bad the story was garbage, full of plot holes too.The characters where garbage, Helen is beyond useless, and the killer is just ... Abysmal.

I constantly hear Stevo and jasonharris preach the same thing. If the story sucks so bad why does it get all the lovin? I are confuzzled.

People don't really know what good stories are nowadays. (See: MGS4) :P

Those goals are actually...pretty good. No really :). If they manage to realize that I'm buying the game.

One thing I also would like to see is ultra difficult side missions and to be completely optional. Kinda like in Baldur's Gate 2 there were ULTRA powerful opponents that were completely optional.. Such as the demi Lich Gaxx, or the few dragons in the game which you could avoid.. But the rewards were great, and they were insanely hard to kill. For instance I was completely disapointed with how lame the Thresher Maw boss was in difficulty.

Does that mean I'm going to get one of the most "tragic" (see; unintentionally hilarious) opening segments in gaming history, complete with, dare I say it...."Press X to Shepard"?

I wonder if they'll try to one up the awkward sex scene in Heavy Rain. I mean Mass Effect was stupid, but Heavy Rain was extra stupid with it. Surely Bioware couldn't make it more awkward without going full on porn status.

Cool, maybe ME3 will have an intruging story instead of just spending the whole time recruiting a team ....
only to have many of them die at the end
Madison's tats looked awesome and the animation of their little sex scene was closer than other vids have gotten it. Mass's fully clothed sex scenes are a little ridiculous, they might as well do the Demolition Man thing and sex eachother with cybernetic helmets.

I don't remember a sex scene is Heavy Rain.

Oh, I remember now!

Sex scenes in games are generally stupid. Hell, I hate them in movies.

I played the whole game thinking, "ok, I'm going to recruit this person and so and so then the story will get good!" Turns out I had to do stupid personal quests that I didn't care about to ensure my team would survive. Pass.

There are "loyalty missions" in every Bioware game. Where was the main storyline?

Loyalty missions were great.

I didn't care about doing them. I wanted to learn more about Collectors and stick to the main storyline. Before buying ME2, I didn't know the whole game was going to be recruiting.

The main storyline was finding/recruiting the team and the collector attacks. The loyalty missions are optional.

Never said I had a bad ending. Said I spent the whole game recruiting only to have most of them die. I just wish Bioware had a main storyline in the game.

Heavy Rain is definitely a landmark in video game story tellingleafsfreak
landmark for creating bad storylines? i thought call of duty set that landmark a couple years back
