Mad respect for Sony and HBO showing love to a group of people that havnt been represented much in the movie industry. And the show is reviewing well, tons of people praising the shows bravery for going against the odds and not being scared of the haters who try to bring diversity down. Cant wait to watch this amazing show on HBO and show my support to such an amazing network.

Reviewers are praising outstanding acting from Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal. So far it has a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, which is really hard to do unless you go against the grain like HBO loves to do. Will you be watching this amazing show on HBO?

Looking good. The first game had a good story so it lends itself quite well to TV since it was good material in the first place.

I am glad it is being executed well.

Don’t have an HBO subscription and not really planning on getting one anytime soon. May be something I pick up on blu-ray at a discount then again maybe not. Don’t really have all that strong of an affinity for the franchise.

I'm reading reviews calling it the best video game adaptation ever made. Not that the bar was very high in this department to begin with but I am looking forward to checking out the first episode and seeing how true this is.

As long as it's not forced, by all means have a homosexual relationship in a show or movie. It's when it's forced or doesn't seem authentic that I have issues with personally.

I would also be curious if the LGBT folks like the show because it's good, versus liking it because of more visual representation for their lifestyle? I'm always curious how peoples thinking works.

Honestly, if gamers(tm) are so thin skinned they get triggered by LGBT representation in TV. I wonder how these people would handle the world of literature.

One of the reasons gaming narratives are so weak is because of the orthodoxy these gamers love to defend. Can't make an actual statement, add actual meaning or explore new ideas, because then some people will boycott us.

I'm watching some reviews of Uwe Boll movies and I can confirm: the bar was not set very high.

I assume TV adaptations of video games are now allowed in System Wars because other than this forum and Political Gamer Discussion, the GameSpot forums are mostly dead. A shame.

Anyways, i'm actually looking forward to this show, i really liked the first game story, so yeah, i'm hyped for this.

Gotta say though, wondering how many of these "best video game adaptation eva!" have actually played more than 5 games casually.

Saw them say the same about Castlevania 10 minutes ago, and it's largely bugger all to do with the game.

Even one of the best aspects of Castlevania (the music score) it uses it like, once, begrudgingly.

Have interactions with people in real life who are willing to talk about the existence of God, or politics, etc. I've found most people whom I've encountered are open to having a dialogue, save women for some reason. I've found they're a lot more apprehensive. But my point being, it seems like it's mostly the Internet or the news media that exacerbates a lot of issues and makes them seem bigger than what they really are. That or I live in a small town full of open minded individuals. :3 People can have disagreements in their values and beliefs, but the ones who are threatened when challenged aren't worth your time as they stopped listening to you and plugged their ears from reasonable communication.

Wow, that must hurt as many did not want this to succeed. A perfect score? Yeesh.
