HaloA cant possibly be hyped AAA can it?

I replay CE every other year or so on PC, and it's still better than the vast majority of other modern day shooters on the market. A new coat of paint and co-op play only improves matters. Hell, it may be AAAA material.donalbane

I agree, for me the game is still AAAA but Im guessing it wont achieve AAA here on Gamespot. It looks to be a fantastic remake, but then so was REmake and it never achieved AAA either. Zelda OoT was just a lazy remake, should've got a lower score really.

I can imagine the remake getting AAA. Halo CE was AAAA(Meta wise) and it's doing everything CE did plus plus. I probably won't get it till maybe June next year, but I think the hype is AAA.

Since this is GameSpot it can't possibly score lower than AAA. If Halo ODST can score AAA here, any and every Halo game will score AAA here no matter what.

you're right, but the problem is that literally happens with every single exclusve. So it's nothing new.

Since this is GameSpot it can't possibly score lower than AAA. If Halo ODST can score AAA here, any and every Halo game will score AAA here no matter what.

i like how people are saying "its going to get AA/AAA" when they have no idea what they're talking about. the game was announced a month ago guys, we know close to nothing about it.

Who cares about "AAA", or "AA", etc? Friggin' letter rankings. Besides, S rank will always be above any given number of A's.

it is but it shouldn't be. what could this halo game possibly add that reach and 3 were not able to do. microsoft should have pulled a sony and packed in halo and halo 2 upscaled to hd. Nothing changed, just now in hd with 60 fps. i know for a fact halo fanboys would eat that up. but i'm giuessing a halo 2 anniverseray isn't too far off.

Here's the real question: If reviewers hand out "AAA" scores like candy, doesn't the very concept of what's accepted as "AAA" lose its meaning? The standards for what makes a great game has been slipping exponentially over the past several years. I think everyone here already knows this.

the first is a 8.5 to me and this is going to be a 10 year old remake so.... i dont think so (and zelda didnt get it so...) but... GS give halo AAA scores just for the hell of it so i wouldnt be surprised campzor

After ODST scored AAA, anything is possible. From a single player perspective, it's still the best Halo game by far, so if the other games are AAA, I would score it AAA even by today's standards.PurpleMan5000

So true. Or after Reach scored a 9.5. 9.5 should only be reserved for the very best games, and Reach simply wasn't that. It actually felt pretty lame compared to Halo 3, which in turn felt slightly lame after Halo 2. The Halo franchise just keeps getting worse IMO.

MAG - 7.8 meta - 8 gs

SOCOM 4 - 71 meta - 7.5 gs

Yeah, it seems gamespot guys really like shooters overall.

Halo Sub-HD Remake? Hmm, I'll still probably buy it.

Halo really does have one of the best campaigns around. Gameplay has improved a bit, graphics have improved, but the actual structure, pacing, and storytelling in the first game is still tops for me.

GOW COLLECTION outscored Gow3 on IGN. GS didn't review GOW Collection but I'm sure it would be a 9.5 if they did.

91 Meta to 95 gs is very close considering it's a .05 system.

ODST is a different case all together.

I think AA at most. I will buy it for sure but it is a 10 year old game so I do not think it will score AAA.CanYouDiglt

OoT 3D is 13 years old, basically the same gameplay with slighty updated visuals and it got a miracously score of a 8.5 here, and currently holds a AAA score on Metacritic.

I'm 90% convinced that Halo Remake will have a 9.0 score here, and 100% convinced that it'll hold a AAA score on Metacritic.

Hasn't stopped other remakes from getting AAA scores from a lot of sites. That said, it's not gonna get AAA here.
