I beleive thats the highest concurrent players not total game sales. The 30 million unique users will be accross PC and XBOX too.
It is still not an accurate representation of player counts for a game that is available outside of Steam, and most likely has a far more significant player count elsewhere.
30,000,000 unique players, and the highest concurrent player count on Steam is 256,000.

Pretendo Switch. We might be friends already. I'm Eastern Time. Maybe we can get some of the Lems to play too? They all LOVE Halo Infinite and are still playing it apparently. I've been playing the multiplayer but haven't touched much of the campaign beyond the first few hours.
Campaign was pretty good. I generally liked the combat. Grappling hook was a nice addition. Semi-open world was OK, but didn't really add much. Big step backwards on the main antagonist, story, enemies as a whole.
Multiplayer dumpster fire partly driven by poor launch, but also MP has largely moved on from Halo. All the videos that the developers did on explaining what works/doesn't work for Halo and why they did things the way they did didn't change the fact that players had different expectations.
I gave it a 8 for campaign and 7 overall.
I personally believe they should shelve the IP for 5 yrs before re-inventing it further down the road.

@BenjaminBanklin: lol, you do realize that MS gaming is one of the biggest platforms out there don't you? Its absolutely massive, with more than 35 million gamers (thats JUST gamepass), and who knows, maybe 100 million users altogether if not more. I'd say that the xbox platform is top 3 on pc, not quite at steam levels, but id say close to EGS.

Do you not understand that the majority jumped on the hype train, rented it on gamepass, and were done with the game in under a week? How it that hard for you to comprehend? If the game was doing well on xbl, MS would be constantly talking about Halo Infinite like they once did during the trilogy days, but that's not the case, and i don't even remember the last time i heard anything related to Infinite from them. They have completely abandoned the game. Halo Infinite is a dud, they don't want to invest anymore resources into it, its supported by a skeleton crew with a tiny budget.
Hell, even DICE hasn't abandoned their abomination, and that's nowhere near EA's flagship IP.😐So you can tell yourself a bunch of positive little things, create your own little reality, but Infinite is a massive failure for Microsoft, and that's all i've been telling you before the game was even released, because you could see it being piss poor from the footage shown pre launch.
If 343i next project is another mess, i predict that the day will finally happen, and the studio will be disolved.
