If they can hit at least Halo 4 (PC) then i'll be happy. It wouldn't be outright next-gen, but it would look good. Still, i'll wait for another true-to-life gameplay reveal before I get excited. That being said, 343 need to step up their game after 5, and I hope they do.

Idk game still looks just as bland. The lighting is either terrible or I just gotten used to the more colorful palette of modern games.

It still looks bland and lifeless. Gotta agree with Nathan, while from a technical standpoint Infinite looks "better" artistically Halo 3 looks way better. What the hell is wrong behind the scenes at 343 studios?!?

I totally agree with many of your points but the game looks good, it looks fine. It's not average, but it's not amazing either.

I say this without bias, but if people are so obsessed with visuals they should just get a PC. Until they do, they should either set their expectations lower or learn to live with being disappointed.

Did Halo 5 set the standard? Did Halo 4 set the standard? Did Halo 3 set the standard? Did Halo 2 set the standard? The last time Halo set the standard for anything was when it was just Halo, which was 19 years ago.

That's not that bad, actually. Definitely better than earlier reveals. Xbox gamers are lucky enough to have a 20 year old FPS franchise still going strong.

@goldenelementxl: Probably not gonna look much different compared to the Series X version. Base and S however, things might get scaled back. Usually LOD, but who knows.

Just recently played through the campaign of Halo4 for the first time, and I couldn't care less about anything Halo after that.

Apparently you need to read the books, comics, watch the tv shows, and read the manuals for all the action figures to make heads or tails of whats going on in the plot for 343's games. Thanks but no thanks.

We're seeing large open world presenting a dynamic lighting with a day night cycle. It looks fine but really there's not much to go on until we see it in action. How is lighting of gameplay, enemies, that stuff.

At least one takeaways I feel good about after Craig debut is the gameplay looked solid, the guns and weapon variety, the audio too, and human weapons looked to pack a punch which is nice none of that pea shooter bullcrap.

Do people play these games for the plot? I beat the first 3 games back in the day. I don't remember the plots. Just shooting alien kids and driving stuff here n there. It was all about the multiplayer.

looks great...obviously wont look that good on the majority of pc’s.. but it will excel on 12 tflop full rdna 2 serious X with ray tracing..120 fps and a multiplayer without cheats

if only the console wasn’t so in demand..i have had the chance of Two ps5’s..but cant get my hands on the most powerful console on the planet for my VRR tv

No. Halo has never set the standard for graphics. High expectations of that is just gamers being stupid.

The visuals were already fine by me, I wouldn't say no to any kind of improvement though. Looking forward to see more gameplay.

I hope MS allows another studio to work on the Halo franchise , because 343 is doing a very bad job.

Why would anyone be excited for this game when the pics posted looks like it’s from the 360 era or a launch xb1 game.

@silentchief: Well, we don’t have a big budget 1st party exclusive on ps5 to compare it on, and apart from R+C in June (?) which has cartoon graphics, there isn’t one in sight.

They really need to just drop the xbox one version, it's gonna severely hold the game back.

Looks pretty good now. I think some people are trying too hard. Of course, half the problems were with the dorktacular enemy models and how the lighting/shadows was flat and unrealistic with them - something largely hidden from these shots.

But really - looks like exactly the kind of screenshots you'd expect from a fantasy extraterrestrial shooter game...

My thoughts exactly when I saw all the negative posts. I am not a Halo player since Halo 2 and I am not sure if I will play this regularly (will probably try it due to it being on GP), but anyone saying this looks like stuff from 2013 needs to get their glasses prescription checked.

How is it going to hold back the game?

It looks a little better than before. I don't think that we are going to expect much more than that since a one year delay isn't enough time to do a complete overhaul of the entire game's graphics. I just hope that the game turns out good.
