if this is a full $60 game, it will fail. but knowing harmonix, this will be a 20/30$ track pack that also includes avatars of the band.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
I sincerely hope this is just like an ACDC type deal, just with the Green Day avatars. Harmonix has been so good about not milking the franchse compared to Activision and I would really hate to see them going the same route, especially with Rock Band 3 being in the wings for 2010
That being said, if these songs are compatible with my main Rock Band experience, then I will certainly be picking it up :)
seriously? I mean, I like their music and all, but seriously? This will be wayyy too easy...SilverChimeraNot necessarily for drums. Tre can be a pretty crazy guy :P
You know as well as I do that courtney love will go ape if they do that :P About Green Day rock band: bad idea. Except Drums. Green Day drums are a ton of fun to play (the older stuff. Screw American Idiot)The hell with GreenDay...
Where's my Nirvana/Foo Fighters GH!?

Tre can be a pretty crazy guy :P Yeah, I forgot that. Also bass was somewhat good like on Longview and Welcome to Paradise, but for the most part, drums will be the only challenging part. Oh god, Basket Case on expert :P good luck everyone
[QUOTE="Shirokishi_"]Courtney Love would through a fit, but I would enjoy some Fighters of Foo. beat you to it :P haha, Funny how we thought of the same thing :lol:The hell with GreenDay...

The problem with Foo and Nirvana is that, if you look at the released DLC for the Rock Band franchise, it has a HUGE number of songs from those bands. Unless they double dip, not a lot of people who already bought those songs, myself included, would buy the games. I just bought the Nirvana 2 pack last week actually :Pseriously? I mean, I like their music and all, but seriously? This will be wayyy too easy...SilverChimera
that's exactly what I though, minus the "i like their music" part
:P
I knew Beatles:RB was going to set a bad precedent for the RB franchise. I blame it all on those guys that turned GH into crap after Harmonix left. If it's < $60 and the tracks are 100% transferrable into my main RB experience, I'll buy it, otherwise, individual band games = fail.
Activision for sure. There's been 4 hero games this year -_-I wonder whether activision or harmonix will be the first to reach the milking point where they will release a harmonica band/hero

Couldnt have chose a more unimaginative, untalented band.fenwickhotmailWeezer, Linkin Park, The Offspring. Especially Weezer. God knows where they'd be without Rivers Cuomo.

Next up, Linkin Park Rock Band.
IMO, unless they plan to make some major changes, it should just be dlc.
Speaking of Green Day, my TV is on in the background, and there's some programme on Channel 4 (UK) about the band. They just gave an interview, and stated they were a "Punk" band. They then went on to describe how punk was similar to hip-hop :| What a joke of a band...comeonthehoops
You can't be serious about this, man... did they reallygo there??

I know, and it kinda sucks that it wont happen.... but even so Id be happy if they'd also release a FF DLC pack along with Nirvanas already released RB DLC.

I'm being deadly serious... They were talking about how both genres have some sort of "ethics" or some dumb, waffley crap. I want another era of real punk. There haven't been any good new punk bands since the 90s.[QUOTE="SilverChimera"][QUOTE="fenwickhotmail"]Couldnt have chose a more unimaginative, untalented band.fenwickhotmailWeezer, Linkin Park, The Offspring. Haha... Songs about women, cars and money are obviously similar to politically fuelled, anti-establishment music.
I despise the new Green Day. They used to be decent but I can't even enjoy their old music anymore.
The Clash, Propagandhi, Rancid, NOFX and Lagwagon FTW :P

Yes. They're both rebellious. Take the work of NWA, they were VERY against the Government and Police, as is alot of Punk. Very similar indeed.[QUOTE="GreenGoblin2099"][QUOTE="aaronmullan"] You do know what ethics are, right? Nothing to do with their image.

I was going to say Punk is more like good old Rap, because HipHip is all about the bootay now :|
