Greatest single player experience you ever had?

Whats the greatest single player experience you ever had with a game? any game, any system, any year, new old

its tough but id probably go with Batman AA, the game played and looked amazing, lots to do and explore and the gadgets were so fun to use. it was a game i couldnt put down when i started playing

Metal Gear Solid

This is a hard one for me. It's either HL2 or Uncharted 2. I don't know which one to pick :P

This generation...probably Oblivion or The Orange Box. All time is probably TIE Fighter or CIV.

Zelda: OoT

Okami, or Ocarina of Time.

World in Conflict and Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl with oblivion lost mod.

edit: oh i didn't realize it was any game not just this gen add Majora mask and the original Diablo to hard to just pick out one game.

I dont think I could even narrow it down to a list of 50 tbh, so I'll just go with this gen and say SMG2.

Final Fantasy 7 followed closely by Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Bully

The game's school setting, characters, and story were all so relatable. I loved making plans for the day ahead of me and biking around town was a blast. The school always had that special atmosphere in it. The ending was awesome too.

Bully has a special part my colleciton.

Hard to say, Fallout 3 I've spent the most time on, but Bioshock and MGS3 were also damn good.

I guess I can't really pin point it.

Demon's Souls.

Not sure. I'd say MGS2 off the top of my head because I've easily beaten it 20+ times as a kid (Not a joke either.)

Resident Evil Remake, my god this game is a survival horror masterpiece.

its real survival mode is the best experiance i had on gaming.

it makes Resident Evil 4 sh*t to be honest.

best Resident Evil game in the series by far.

i was blew away by alot of games over the years including goldeneye007 for the nintnedo64 then re injoying it on the wii , man thats what im talking about a game that actually does not bore me

You sir are awesome. I bought RE2 off PSN awhile back just to replay it. I really wish they'd do a REmake for it. Heck I'd do it myself if I knew anything about visual or sound development :D

LoZ:OoT was an amazing experience the first time I've played it, follw up by Wind Waker. Also for this generation I would say playing through the whole Half Life series in the Orange Box.

Overall, I'd have to say Pikmin 2 remains not only my favourite single player experience, but also the best game I have ever played...

It isprobably the only E rated game that contains blood lust between coworkers, dead bodies, and machine guns. It's so funny to get e-mails from your boss who's trying to dodge debt collectors. He eventually makes friends with creatures that live under a bridge then he ponders whether or not he should eat them
