Gran Turismo V's Forza

As a whole, do you think Forza or Gran Turismo is the better series?

This is to be based on personal opinion from people that have played the games - nothing to do with sales.

I was and still am a massive GT fan, but I think I would go with Forza...the main reasons for my vote swaying this way:

I like the customisation

The AI feels more competitive, like you are facing off against real opponents

Online play

This isNOT a poll about which game is the better simulation - that doesn't mean that can't be the swaying factor for your vote however.

I never had any real game time with Forza, so I can't necessarily understand the appeal.

On the other hand I would play Gran Turismo 3 with my older sister like.. Every day. It was like crack.

Erm yes, good point.....all that illegal street racing and police chases that makes up the Forza game?

And it would probably be better to compare GT with pokemon whilst i'm at it? (this has actually happened before)

like i said gt is not a race game its a real life simulator thats the difference

Valid points - Forza is still a simulation racer however, so the poll remains

on a side not, as much as I agree that GT has the edge on the race physics, both games are flawed. GT's lift off oversteer is vastly OTT from what I remember

I agree that the handling in GT is more "real life"

- better cars

- more cars

- better tracks

- better graphics

- more realistic driving ( in real life you dont go around the streets crashing into other cars so thats why GT has no damage )

- more options

- longer game

- ugly custom paint jobs

- cartoony plastic graphics

- damage, :lol:pointless reallly since the aim of the game is to come 1st, which would mean any decent player wouldnt crash at all

I think your points were valid apart from these.

In real life they race on tracks, not streets and in high speed motor racing crashing is an aspect of the sport.

I think forza handles crashing and "offs" in a better way than GT. In forza alot of the time you'll spin out of control when you hit a wall - in GT hitting a wall is an effective way to corner as it doesn't even slow you down

GT just bored the life out of me... hideous little game.

Forza's just a lot more fun to play.

forza. aside from the fact that it looks better. it's far, far more realistic and far more customizable. and not in the chavvy NFS way. You need to tweak and upgrade parts of the car to get it fast as possible without it changing class. and there's loads of cosmetic options. F-O-R-Z-AcrunchUK

Forza also has better AI then GT does.

One of the reasons people think GT has more cars because they give you 20 of same kind of car. Forza gives you ONE car of each style and lets the player make it into as many ways as he wants. Including awsome player paint jobs. Forza gives far more ways to upgrade their cars then GT does.

Look there is a reason why Forza has been AAA both times and last GT was not. GT was great when that was the main driving sim but it is not anymore and there is better driving sims out now.

Actually i never owned a Ferrari, but i used to drive a Porsche for about 2 years.

And believe me, it feels nothing like GranTourismo. Your points are plain stupid, legalize. Did you ever sit in a Sportscar? They dont nearly react like those videogame ones. Even your "second real life" GT is no exception.

Despite, Forza is about the same as realsim goes. Its probably not 100% real life, but its as close as GT for sure.

So, take a deep look at your avatar and think about posting again, when you dont even have the slightest clue. Btw, you actually contradict yourself concerning the point you made about car-damage.

Actually, if you really want to play a simulation, go buy a PC and play GTR2 its as close as reality as it gets. GT is not a simulation, even if this word is in its subtitle.
