Am i back in 2005? because this is where claims of the nature belong. Will it be duel 1080P?:lol:BoloTheGreatThat will be announced next month along with 120 fps in 4D - if not then ........ meh. :P
Seriously though, the game should look good but the hype level is being raised to AAAAA just like KZ2.

Lol, GOW3 is not out yet, so know one knows, not even those guys, lol.
Also, the PS3 has more 1080p games upscaled or native (take your pick) than the 360, which really seems to bug you.
I bet you ONE MEEEEEEEEELLION DOLLARS gow will not be native 1080p 60fps. You do realise how much you have to sacrafice to hit 1080p right?
Secondly, ALL 360 games upscale to 1080p, thirdly, the fact that there are more native 1080p games on the PS3 (I am assuming you're referring to the Beyond3D list, which is incomplete btw) is a meaninless stat, lol. lol.
p.s lol.

He must be talking about PSN games. Otherwise, I'd like to see the list of native 1080p games

There is a list on the Beyond3D.com forums which lists games they have 'confirmed' as 1080p. It is by no means an exhaustive list of ALL 1080p games on each platform.
No loading I believe it, 60 FPS I believe it. But 1080p, no chance. It might supports 1080p, like in the way CoD4 does, but it won't be nativeCouth_
I agree with you I don't believe in the two (60 FPS @ 1080p) being together, especially since people say this game will be graphics king. I dont see a game with good graphics running like that in a PS3.

Yeah, I know about the beyond3D list. I only see a few (maybe 3? ) native 1080p PS3 games. The rest are PSN games

I just counted, and it's 11. Mostly sports games. Tennis, NBA07/08, etc. None of the graphical powerhouse games, though.seriously, technically the game isnt doing anything special at all right now lol. so im guessing its possible. chances are however that this is just not true at all meant to hype up the game.ArchDeathKYou guys are setting yourselves up for Killzone like ownage again!!! All of the footage we've seen so far is from an October build of the game... the game has already had 4 additional months of development since then, and would have had over a year of development by the time it finally releases. Not to mention the fact that the game already looks good as hell anyway. I can only imagine how good the game will look after an extra year of development.

Well both Wipeout HD and MLB 09 look GREAT at 1080p 60fps... so sure, while some devs may have to sacrifice a lot to get it working, obviously some are able to pull it off flawlessly.the team behind Wardevil (Digi-guys) stated that Wardevil will be Full 1080P too and if im right ...60FPS.....i hope to see more of this at GDC next month and see if this is gonna be like what they sayIpik_FenrisPretty sure that's vapor ware, could be wrong though.

MLB09 is one of them, though.
Wipeout is a very simplistic looking game, dropping it to 720 would free up a lot of resource but filling that would require extra assets and graphics work. It is effectively just a port. I have no doubt if it was built from scratch it could look better at sub 1080 resolutions.
It's not a case of 'pulling it off' or being clever in any way, it's purely a tradeoff. Do you want 1080p or do you want stacks of extra graphical resources to be used elsewhere.

Yeah... I don't really count sports games in my mental list due to how little is going on in most of them. Take out FIFA Street, NBA07/08 and MLB07/08 and suddenly you've cut the list entirely in half haha. Those aren't exactly the games you see people posting screenshots of to prove the graphical prowess of a console. Strangely, people are always using games that are 720p or even lower.[QUOTE="Makari"]Strangely, people are always using games that are 720p or even lower.speedsix
Nothing strange about it, most devs have realised this is the graphical 'sweet spot'.
But the way some posters (mostly from one group) have acted in this thread, I could've swore they were game developers too.
I'm so confused :?
[QUOTE="GTR_FX"]I'm sure your a game developer right? It doesn't take a game dev to know that when you stream game data like textures off a disc; object, and textures ARE going to pop up. Hell, even KZ2 has this problem. Especially when you add in how slow BluRay is compared to DVD. You should know better.no loading?
like tony hawk where all the buildings, streets, and ramps popin 5 feet in front of you
SiKh22
It's funny how so many cows actually believe this. It's also going to be funny when reality comes crashing down.
The ONLY thing that may ring true is the no loading part. The other 2 are bogus. BluRay's poor read speed, and the PS3's memory, or lack thereof, is not going to be able to handle the full 1080p, AND keep the game at a steady 60 fps. The PS3's memory isn't going to be able to handle the full 1080p, period.
