Gematsu: Toshihrio Nagoshi teases next Yakuza title, hints at next-gen

Yakuza series director Toshihiro Nagoshi teased the next Yakuza title in this weeks issue of Dengeki PlayStation.

According to Nagoshi, the team is taking a programmatic approach with the next title so that players can have a more physical experience.

Regarding the battle system, the team aims to reach new innovations.

About the next game in general, they want to offer a broadened form of play.

Dont expect to see the next Yakuza title on PlayStation 3, though. Nagoshi said he thinks Yakuza 5 will be the last entry in the series part of PlayStation 3s generation.

But rest assured the studio will continue developing with the the intent to make things the best they an under the circumstances.

Nagoshi hopes to show the next something sometime this year.

Yakuza 6 for ps4... **** YEAH!!

Still waiting on that localization for y5 though.

man it pisses me off that Sega doesn't want to localized Yakuza 5 just because Dead Souls flopped. They never localize the spin-offs but because that one had zombies they thought it was gonna sell and now because of that I will never be able to play my most anticipated game of the year. I don't really like many games but the few that I like are beng ruined (DmC), killed (Valkyria Chronicles) or don't get localized (Yakuza 5)! Fawk You Sega!  :cry:
