Gears of War 3 High Quality Campaign Footage! (720p & high bitrate)

Wow... After seeing this and the Uncharted 3SP footage... I can't make up my mind. Both games look REALLY good.

Better than Crysis 2 on console.

Gears 3 looks incredible, the game isn't getting the recognition it deserve's for it's visual's, if GS overlooks it in the best Graphic's award this year there moron's

The animations in the cutscenes are greatly improved.

Well it's one of/ if not THE, best looking title on consoles.

Uhm, the camera is maybe 10 feet away from that screen.

That screen is maybe 12 feet in size.

720p spread out over 12 feet of screen real-estate from 10 feet away does NOT look that good.

I'm going to make an educated guess and say that that demo is running at at least 1080p, and it's not running on a xbox 360. Maybe a dev PC?

Either that or there is some weird opticla illusion going on and the camera is much farther away form the screen than it seems to me.

OR they pulled off a miracle and turned the xbox 360 into a modern PC. In which case all they needed to do was turn the water into wine and they would have had a great party!

If I'm right the final quality level might or might nto look liek that on your TV when you play it at home ona console. I'm going to guess it will not.

I almost feel that there's some stigma attached to the Gears series as a whole due to Gears 2 (online issues, etc..) which is why I think it doesn't get the graphics recognition it should but this game makes great leaps graphically from Gears 2.

I know the whole online issue with Gears 2 has nothing to do with graphics but you'd be amazed at how certain things turn people off from other things even when they're not related.

Man the lighting alone seperates this title from Gears 2! This game looks fantastic and definitely should be considered in more graphics nominations across the media but I've got a funny feeling it won't which is a crime.

Oh yeah the gameplay looks great and is just going to kick *** in the fun department as far as the campaign and online games go including co-op, horde 2, dedicated servers etc... It just seems like Epic threw their blood, sweat and tears in this title and it's showing.

I see the jaggies too, but that is not a 720p frame on that 12 foot screen. It would look extremly blurry and even more jaggie if it were.

I'm not saying that it's not running at console settings, just that it's a PC running the dev console at 1080p (at least).

Looks great! Can't wait to try some 4 player coop.

Kinthalis, I was watching Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 being played on a movie projection screen at Mechacon a few days ago. The image quality looked cleaner on that as well.

Decent upscaling helps.

You guys really think it looks good? Im really trying to like it but all I see is just another Unreal Tournament 3 graphically. I like the lighting, but those textures from inside of the helicopter are so bad its not even funny and character animations are pathetic even in cutscenes. Not really in the same league with Uncharted 2.

Um, K, Looks just as good as Unharted 2, and people even voted and agreed the Gears 3 beta looked better than Uncharted beta.

This video looks blurry to me. If you want to know which game has the best graphics so far, that belongs to Forza 4. There is simply not thing out there to complete with Forza 4's graphics wise.
