As I type this and copy & paste this jpg, I'm still laughing. Probably because the most anti-VR people here seem to be mostly Lemmings...and yet, collectively, developers are more interested in VR right now over Scarlett.
Makes not sense. The PS5 and SX will be nearly identical, so if you make a game for one, you can release it for the other. Not like the ones "interested" in PS5 will not release the games on SX.
PC>PS5>Nintendo Switch is pretty much the stopping gap for all your gaming needs and it's the correct combo for what you get out of. The chart isn't wrong, XSX is going to be yet another redundant next-gen console if and only if, you don't care about PC, then XSX is also a good choice.
It is an upcoming handheld video game console developed by Panic.
Weird, I've seen pics of that thing a while ago. It still isn't out yet? I remember it being only in black & white and rather expensive for what it was.

First you shill dev tools, and now a gimmick, your gaming opinions are horrible.
I love my gaming opinions lol
Also so glad guys like you are not in charge of what's available of not :P
I posted a thread about the PS4 being the most-sold console of the decade (look at their meltdowns!) after 7 years of Lemmings warning us the PS4 will fail, stumble, struggle, stagnate, slip, shrink. Turns out the Lemmings were talking about their own console lol.
Hilarious to see a Lemming talk about gaming opinions when it's clear we should not be listening to theirs for 2020-2030, especially when they couldn't get anything in the previous decade right!
When a Lemming says "VR is DEAD", put all money on it thriving soon. When they are adamant the Kansas City Chiefs are going to win the Super Bowl, expect a celebration in the streets of San Francisco that night.
Watching VR haters squirm as VR gets increasingly popular is freakin' classic. That most of the VR haters on this forum are lemmings makes this especially sweet considering devs have officially spoken up and prefer VR over a new Xbox. I love it, lol. The VR haters are going to have a lot of crow to eat this gen. ;)
Its funny seeing the PSVR neck and neck with Hololens. Oculus is in its own league occupying 71%. Its not surprising. VR would not survive being a tether device. Oculus Quest for the win. Lets hope other VR solutions follow.
@Pedro: Untethered is indeed awesome. The Quest is too low powered though. When PSVR2 (among others) comes around we'll have power+untethered. Of course battery life is an issue as well.
@Pedro: Yeah. There's a bunch of patents showing all kinds of new developments like untethered, sonar-type tracking, haptic feedback etc.etc. Plus a bunch of comments about pushing onward with VR tech/headsets going forward, etc. Can't dig it all up right now but the info is out there.
Dev's have spoken PS5 > VR > A piece of crap > Xbox X-Series
I follow the devs on this consumer interest is also like that too look at occlus quest its blowing up and ppl are talking about it an stuff. PS5 logo had more mind share for consumers than the x-series reveal
I really wish more then anything that PC got AAA exclusives back like the good old days I blame the greedy gaming publishers that we don't have them anymore the games could be timed exclusives for all I care. I just want what we use to have on PC. Games built from the ground up with not only cutting edge tech but also more tactical FPS with no regen health, no grenade indicators ect..
@PAL360: Thankfully Dreams will turn into a nightmare, and VR is still failing.
@subspecies: They prefer VR which can make them (a little bit) money here & now over a console that's nearly a year away lol. Spin it to make yourself feel better reduc, but while you're doing that I will sit back and laugh that the PSVR is devs fourth choice VR device, but, but sales LMFAO.
@whatafailure: Why do you have to make threads that live up to your username?
So if we use EVERY VR device like you are then we can use every Xbox device and the results don't favour you. The PSVR is running 4th out of al VR devices, and yet you cows are calling it a success lol.
Secondly VR devices are out and available for purchase so of course devs are interested in making money asap, and the seX is nearly a year away. Let's see how it is this time next year.

Did some googling on this and the base price for this thing is going to be $149 and the screen is only black & white. Honestly after watching youtube videos am actually pretty interested in this product. Its probably more of a collectors item or one of those devices hipsters love to show off than an actual working console.

Stay failing.
According to venture beat PSVR command 30% of the VR market.

Its sold the most but its specs are average and devs want more power it seems.
I would also like to add to my post above because if you dig a little deeper into the OP's link one would see that some interesting stats such as...
Which platform(s) was your last completed game released on
Xbox 20%
All VR platforms combined 12%
Which platform(s) are you currently developing games for
Xbox 28%
All VR platforms combined 17%
Which platform(s) do you anticipate your next game be released on
Xbox 29%
All VR platforms combined 14%
So OP interest means shit and you just got knocked the **** out lol.
@i_p_daily: 'Thankfully Dreams will turn into a nightmare, and VR is still failing.'
I'm not sure about Dreams long term popularity, but one thing is for certain: it's a damn good and polished product. I always predict safe (low) scores, but i can guarantee you that Dreams will get 9+ scores left and right. And the amount of hate it gets from people who haven't played it, will make it even more interesting.
As for VR, i have been following the evolution of the tech since early 90s, and only now it's getting good and affordable enough. Like it or not, it will become standard very soon.

Well then I expect a hype thread from you, or are you going to make excuses now?
@i_p_daily: Excuses about what? Even if it got low scores, it wouldn't change the fact i have been enjoying it for over a year. But then again, you will be surprised (and mad, it seems) with the reception it will most likely get!
Anyway, i never made a hype thread, but since i seem to be one of the few Dreams fans in these boards, i'll make a simple one at release just to remind people it's out ;)

Not only do you have bad taste in gaming you have no idea how to comprehend what you read, as in no way does my post come across as mad, but you seem frustrated and are looking to shift it to me, but i'm having fun with this and I look forward to your hype thread, should be fun.
@i_p_daily: I mean, dude, of course there are more traditional flatscreen games developed/in development. VR is a peripheral, not a console in and of itself. And of course devs prefer Oculus/Vive over PSVR. PSVR is underpowered in comparison to those headsets. In the case of the Quest the tech is more exotic in terms of untethered etc. It just makes sense. When the PS5 comes out, not to mention the next PSVR, all of that will naturally change. I'm a fan of all headsets though. I've owned four VR headsets, lol. And only one of them is PSVR.
Anyway, none of this changes the simple fact that the majority of devs have spoken, and prefer VR over the new Xbox. You'll just have to live with that (lol).

I played you like a fiddle in the other thread to get you to post here lol, you make this way too easy, and your excuses are funny, thanks for the laugh.

Cool. Now, back on topic. The majority of devs prefer VR over the new Xbox. Prove that wrong. (you know you can't, as it has been voted on, the fact of which kills you, and owns you, and----------->as always, have a nice day, sweetie ;))
I think the real takeaway here is VR being at 27%. That's a pretty big chunk.
You need to put into perspective when you see the % of games being made for VR, as anyone can say they're interested in something that doesn't and isn't equating to more games.

That projection from you reduc lol, you got owned & baited on the same day, like I said you cows make this easy.
But, but VR has more interest from devs over a console that hasn't even released yet, you poor VR nutjobs cling to the smallest things, but hey whatever helps you sleep at night :)

That's cool, dude. Now, to the point: the majority of devs prefer VR over the new Xbox. It has been officially voted on. And, again, it kills you. It's going to kill you for a very, very long time. :)

Also, PSVR is aging (in VR years) and the controls and tracking are now considered ancient compared to the Quest. The Xbox Scarlett is not ancient, it's new, and losing to the PS5.
Devs are not rushing for "quick money" on VR as revenue (even for popular games) are nothing compared to traditional gaming right now. That Lemming used to say VR is only selling because of porn. "That's the only reason people are buying VR!" He's going to use every excuse in the book.
Which is why I warned people Lemscuses. They failed terribly the last decade, and there's no reason to listen to them for the next one. They can't simply say "I was wrong, and VR is indeed growing despite my doubts, and devs seem more interested in it now as its becoming more successful." You aren't going to get simple rational statements like that from no Lem!
