Control Review
Talk about a solid score of a sleeper hit. Control is my most hype game from Remedy since Quantum Break and looking forward to playing it tonight for PC version.
I’ve liked Remedy since Max Payne. QB needed more action and less walking around imo but it was a good game. I’m hopeful Control is more actual encounters and use of powers.
How about that. I may pick it up after all. Because this game was totally off my radar. The Meta's looking decent.
Remedy should have announced Alan wake 2 soon now.
I like the way Remedy tease an Alan Wake 2 in Quantum Break. Remedy hinted so I expect an Alan Wake 2 and hopefully, Control becomes a hit for Remedy just in case in doubt.
or if my miracle.
Take 2 partnership with Remedy to make Max payne 4 because i doubt rockstar will make another max payne game.

That's why I never understand when reviewers hates on one game that is plagued by this and then praised another game with the same problem.

Money for sponsoring.

I have a theory. One of my JHS friends wrote reviews for Game Informer in the mid 2000's to around 2011. He will remain nameless by his request. He had an associates degree in English composition. That's it. And he liked games and paying his rent. And he has a preferred platform. And he told me how quite a few people he met in this industry do have favorites. They're human.

"They're human" can be argued for everything.
This game runs like crap.
"I have a theory....blah blah blah... They're human".
A lot of good reviews popping up. Great news, it seems to be QB with a deeper story, better combat and minus all the movie BS Microsoft forced on them.
I'll pick it up down the road. Too many games incoming atm, Blair Witch and Gears 5 on Gamepass both going to keep me busy for a while.
Looks boring as hell to me. The characters/story don't seem compelling at all from what I've seen and the gameplay just looks like QB.

Looks like it's gonna flop in the high 70s when all the reviews are in. Already dropped down to 81.

I'll be okay. I'll still enjoy Control to my heart's content :)
Might get it at some point, but I’d really prefer a sequel to Quantam Break from them. I’m one of the few that really enjoyed it and got pretty invested in the story (minus the meh “TV” segments).
PS4 version seems to be solid from what I heard, so if anyone's picking up PS4 version should be good to go.

"However, the game’s biggest offender by far is its framerate. Strangely enough, the experience manages a somewhat stable 30 frames-per-second for roughly half of the 12-hour campaign, but the more you progress, the worse it gets. The back half suffers from major drops during combat that slow things down to a snail’s pace as you have to fight a framerate in the single digits as well as the more traditional enemies on screen. We don’t quite understand how the game has managed to ship in this state, but that’s not the only technical fault. The title can be made to freeze on demand for a handful of seconds after quitting out of the pause screen every single time you access it, while stutters are also present when coming in and out of a fast travel point. It’s absolutely unacceptable – a flaw that a series of patches will need to fix post-launch."
... and that review was on the PS4 Pro.

Never knew it's that badly done. Yeah, you gotta play it on PC that's for sure.
I want to play it but I’m honestly overwhelmed with games. Still playing the shit out of Crash Team Racing. Haven’t been close to finishing Fire Emblem Three Houses. Also interested in Man of Medan, Links Awakening, Gears 5 and Concrete Genie. So many good games coming in the next month or so.
@Gatygun: lol so now quantum break has the level of production and immersion as the top games you guys are subliminally saying quantum break is on par with the last of us , uncharted ?
Something is wrong if you cant see the difference btw the cricticlly acclaimed "walking sims" and the unfulfilled potential that is quantum break

yeah, unlike TLOU and Uncharted, Quantum Break actually has some killer shooting segments.

QB has good shooting segments? Must have missed those on my play through, it was such a bore.
