Played the PS5 demo for about 20 minutes and gave up. I'm still expecting a 7/8, with 7 being more likely.

I used to say that the only thing that's saving this game a bit is the magic/combat system. After playing the demo, i was so wrong. The combat system is nothing but brainless spam with fireworks-like partile effect flying everywhere. Its shallow af, and so easy you can play the game while watching youtube vids.

Looks pretty solid ( haven’t tried the demo though) without setting the world on fire or anything, so predict 8/10

I really want this to be good, but all told it seems like a 6.

Briefly tried the demo. Game looks quite good but the combat felt a bit awkward. Probably some more time playing would have helped though. Some stuff is seeming a bit sketchy with this game though so I’m kind of expecting a 7/10 and perhaps an 76 MC.

Edit: FYI, the embargo reviews will be lifted on 1/23/23 (Monday) and from what I've read, SE barely sent out review copies so this tells you SE doesn't have confidence in Forspoken which is a shame as I personally like the demo from what I've played so far. I Hope Forspoken has a successful launch still. (We can also assume Dead Space Remake embargo review will be on the same day)

My student loves the demo.

I expect it to have better visuals, story, and gameplay than Elden Ring.

That is why I have pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition for a very reasonable price of $126.49

Initial press was bad, but hands-on reports say it is pretty good. Seems like it is pretty good looking, has a unique magic system, a new open world to explore, and it's a new IP.

You can change the color of your fingernails btw. Each color gives you perks. If this is not innovative for you, you're simply too old for a gaming, and should think of doing something else. Me on the other hand, i cannot wait to customize her fingernails. Its all i ever wanted in a video games, actually.

I played the demo and although it had a few semi interesting mechanics I wasn't the least bit enamored by any of it and deleted it without playing an hour. That said... it wasn't terrible and I might grab it from a bargain bin or sale one of these days. I'm guessing it will be mostly in the 7s.

Despite any attempts to be objective, the buried deep biases will bubble up, no doubt, evident by the last few days irate anti-Xbox circle-jerks dominating gaming social media and YouTubers, just illustrate a deep seeded desire and frustration by masses and gaming journalist to give Sony the closest thing to a win they can muster for the next few months.

Reading youtube comments from this game is kinda funny, actually. Literally everyone is hating, then you see some sore thumb comment saying that its the best open world they have ever seen, and the combat system is the smoothest they've ever tried🤣Real something.

Did not bother to look into the game since the initial gameplay trailers, but I feel like it might be a 4/10. Doubt the gaming media will be that harsh though.

Nothing more than PS Plus game for me and I will probably add it to my library without playing it.

I want this game to fail because that actress was horrible in Resident Evil tge Netflix series.

Some sites are not getting review codes

I'm hoping it's great and a very pleasant surprise.

But I suspect a 6 or 7 (i voted 6 though. limited review copies sent is a major red flag). I also suspect the PC version will be a dumpster fire on day one with major shader stutter that will make travelling across the land quickly a pretty rough experience.

The price is also a bit mad so, regardless of score, I definitely wont be picking it up day one. €80 Square...are you mad!?

I hope it's an actually great game that i'll be happy to throw 60 bucks down for though later in the year.

I didn't, and heard you couldn't change it. But ask yourself a simple question: why the hell would anyone demo their game on easy mode? Never should your game be demo'ed anything under Normal mode because it could make your game look like a braindead video game making your in depth combat look completely pointless, which is exactly what it did to this game. The team in charge of this game is completely lost and clueless.
