I haven't played Final Fantasy XIII-2 yet but I just purchased it last night along with Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions and Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy; once I beat it I'll check out the second half of this video.
The first half was great though! If Square-Enix created new games in this style I'd definitely be interested. And if they focused some efforts on "de-makes" of these newer games, I'd be extremely interested. Playing through a Final Fantasy XII 16-bit Redux would be crazy!
That was pretty cool. Got me hyped for LR. Itd be awesome if this person made 16 bit versions of X,X-2, and 12.
The story being told this way doesn't seem half as bad as to playing it and not understanding a damn thing for whats going on or just not caring. Pretty awesome
I still don't get it.... takes 3 games to have such a basic plot line? that could of all been fitted into one GOOD game. there is no "depth" here or complexity, just a mish mash of three seperate games being vaguely connected by themes.
I only play little of first game because did not enjoy new gameplay system. I hope this new one as good as FF12 at least.
I am amazed how gaf screws peoples minds. There is no SNES style to this, too many shades, to many colors, the music has too much sound channels, too many animation frames for a few events, Closest they did was over pixel the sprites. Closer to the Neogeo if anything. If the SNES did anything like what is shown it would have sold over 500 million units with pc devs jumping on board.

You must not have played XIII because it recons the first 10 hours of the story and changes it about 15 hours in, and then decides to forget to write and actual ending and suese random plot device that is not explained until the next game to save everyone.
There is no real plotline in other words.

That's funny... I was thinking it looks more like a GBA game rather than a SNES game.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw this earlier. I would love to play the games in a different way. It would almost be like a new experience.
