Dreamfall Chapters will only be on PS4 and PC

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey is set to revive the cult classic series after a period of dormancy, and for those looking to jump back into the series with a PS4, you will be in luck.

Developer Red Thread Games announced through a tweet that Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey will be a PS4 exclusive to consoles, with the developer later clarifying in a subsequent tweet that the PC version of the game will still be arriving first before the game makes its debut on consoles. Currently, Dreamfall Chapters has no solid release date announced at this time, but developer Red Thread is aiming for a November 2014 launch window for the title.

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey will release for PS4, PC, Mac, and Linux later in 2014.

Good news for PS4 owners :D. I haven't played the previous two games, but it looks great from what i have seen.

Ah no, they were planning on a Wii U version, but it seems they decided to go PS4 instead.

Can't say I blame them, it is a more successful console :/

First one was PC exclusive right .? 2nd was on PC and Xbox and now third will be on PC first and ported to PS4 . Seems like PC is the best place to enjoy entire trilogy . Loved previous games , can't wait for this one . I am really impressed by Ragnar's masterful storytelling .

PC seems to be getting the most games of ps4 and xboxone while they aren't getting games from each other...resulting in yet again the biggest library this gen :)

My most anticipated game right now, nothing else comes close. :D

It's also the better console. Nintendo is certainly a failure in terms of putting out great technology.

Maybe because it´s easier to port on PS4 and PC? I mean both can use same graphics while Wii U is weaker, smaller install base. Also Wii u owners are more into exclusive games like Mario and Zelda and less multiplatform games.

@charizard1605: the latest entry was originally a Kickstarter that was exploring a potential Wii U port, but that didn't come through, but they have responded on Twitter to say it's just planned for the PS4 and PC right now, and they'll they'll port it to other platforms if they can afford it at a future date

Yeah, it's not a big company, so i wouldn't hold my breath. They are making the game with my taxmoney

They are only a small developer and they are using a grant and kickstarter money to make this game,so they are on a real tight budget,once the game is out and they have started to bring in some cash i assume it would be pretty likely to go to other platforms to make more money,there is no point in kickstarted games like this having exclusivity to any certain platforms,the more platforms the more profit which gives them the money to continue to make games and to keep the rights to their own ip, i would bet a wii u and an xbox version is almost certain in the future.

It is a timed exclusive for the PS4. PC first, PS4 next, and then whatever else after that. It was part of the tweets.

What?!!! This is so unfair!!! This is BS man. I have Dreamfall Longest Journey on my 360 from the Xbox originals collection. How fvcked up is it they just turn their backs on fans that have been playing on Xbox???

Strange. You would think this would come to XB1 considering the series has never been on PS. Regardless I'll pick it up on the quad. It's weird that the Wii U seems to have been cancelled as well.
