Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen PC FIRST IMPRESSIONS. Awesome Port guys !!!

Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen on PC ROCKS. Runs silky smooth ( 60 FPS ) at Highest settings even on mid range P.C's.Fluid controls. No Bugs. Much better better port than Dark Souls regarding controls, Hats off to Capcom.

VERDICT: If you still haven't got DDDA on PC, buy it asap as it was one of the awesome action rpg on consoles for a long time. Don't miss it :)

But yeah, Dragon's Dogma, it's so weirdly good. I mean, being able to pick up any NPC and throw him/her around is so damn out of place, but you kind of want it in every other game now.

I've modded my main pawn to the rotten. Its a TIER 9 Ranger MAX lvl with only Ten Fold Fury and Hundred Kisses Equipped. Plus equipped with Maxed out Revenant Wail, Framae Blades, Oblivion Armour and Dragonblood Ring. One shots Daimon in 2nd Form in Hardest Difficulty LOL. I'm letting my pawn do all the dirty work HeHe

apparently someone made it so you can port in your 360/ps3 saves, which is pretty cool

I'll give this a shot but modded witcher 3 with instant sign casting is pretty fun so I think I'll finish that first.

144fps on 1440p, not exactly a looker but at least it runs great + you can silence pawns!

Cool, I already played the PS3 version which had quite a few bugs I hope they have fixed in the Pc version such as uncompletable quests. At least on the PS3 version you could edit the save game file with a text editor (it was just an XML file).

I wonder if it would load a Ps3 save file, I'm pretty sure the Xbox and PS3 versions where almost interchangeable with few tweaks.

I bought it last night. Still at work, so I haven't had a real chance to play through it again. This will be my second time buying the game. Haven't played it since it launched back in 2012, was a great game imo.

So will I start seeing level infinite pawns cluttering up the list in multiplayer.. Ew, no thanks.

I know it gets better later, but I found the beginning to be pretty slow and it couldn't grab the hooks in me. Maybe I'll give it another shoy.

Man even at 1440p the textures are horrible. The gameplay is fantastic but the visuals of the game actually hurt my eyes.

Kinda, you get infinite riftstone ( previously which was only accessible to players who bought Dark Arisen DLC, not owners of Vanilla version ) when you reach Gran Soren for first time. You can put upto 10 portcrystals in all gransys strategically so you do reach missions, side quests, escorts very easily with the infinite riftstone :)

Action rpg involving Dragon Lore, You can have team of max 4 companions to take on deadliest monsters/dragons. Its kinda like Monster Hunter and Shadow of the Colossus ( As you can climb large monsters ) mixed together :)

Nothing about it's story "sucks" but it's all really generic fantasy. No real weak moments, but no strong ones. It's very bland and gameplay drives most of the experience.

That is, of course, until the end, which is basically a huge derail into crazy town. And I LOVE it. I've never really seen a game story have such a huge tonal shift that I actually enjoyed. If nothing else, it's certainly one of the more memorable endings of a game.

Not surprising. The game was actualy lead on PC. Even half a year before release of console versions when you went to some event with playable Dragon Dogma they actually sat you in front of a PC with hooked console pad. It switched to console development only shortly before launch, so it makes sense that when they later got back to PC code finishing it up to full release wasn't a big problem.

ah lent it on the PS3 back then, never played much of it, and rebought it on the PC, gotta take my time this time.

The edited super charged pawns kind of take the challenge out of it, I'd lose interest in any game pretty fast when you just edit best stats and gear, what's there left to do?

that's good to hear. The opening fetch quests for some reason didn't grab me, I know that's just training and getting used to menu/inventory/crafting. For some reason I found it duller than usually such scenarios.

So what's the story with the top ranked pawns having 00 has a level? They cost millions to summon. What's up with that?

Also, any texture mods yet? Hell can we even mod textures into the game? The low-res HUD is also kind of an eyesore.

They are edited files, infinite level not 00, but it's basically people exporting the save file to xml -> editing content -> repack and boom you have your char + main pawn with ridiculous stats and levels.

It's the same reason why D3 multiplayer is a joke on console as the save files reside on ones computer so people are free to do what ever with them.

It's like Skyrim, but with dragons.

I want to play this game again but no pc yet and no remaster in sight except for dragons dogma online anyone heard about that?

@indzman: PS4, PS3, N64, PS2. I owned a 360 but sold it to my sister. I've had pc's but they were crappy mainly for college work. I am planning on getting a gaming pc, hopefully in the summer.

Shame its not on PS 4 yet, wait a bit they might port it for ONE n PS 4. BTW if you already played PS 3 version, not into modding n stuff then don't bother getting a PC just for this game as games same as PS 3 version , only updated graphcs thats all :)

@indzman: The reason for me getting a PC is mainly for strategy games old and new it's one my favourite genres. With Xcom 2 and Total war warhammer coming out this year plus I may use it for certain other games like Bethesda games for mods.
