Does Microsoft have the best game line up for the year?

Interesting Psychonauts 2 is counted but not all other multiplats releasing this year.

Trying to put Returnal in there with games that actually sold well? Monster Hunter Rise has sold over 6 million copies.

I'm interested in the bottom 3, but only 2 are on the Xbox which is what this thread is about. That said, something about Halo, Forza.. lol. Although joking aside, I will get and play both as soon as I can find a SX.

I think PlayStation has a better lineup.

Launch window games are still going to sell for a while so you best believe games like Spiderman Miles Morales, Sackboy, Demons Soul's etc will sell alongside newer games like Ratchet, Returnal, Horizon Forbidden West, Deathloop and heck even Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut and, Death Stranding Director's Cut.

Why do some of you default to sales when debating "best" lineup lol.

This is what Ill be playing this year:

PC: RE8, Deathloop, Wildermyth, Endless Dungeon, GG Strive, Forza Horizon 5, The Ascent

SWOLED: Monster Hunter Rise, Metroid Dread

XSX: Deaths Door

PC wins in overall content, but not many games are touching MHR this year.

Going by these supposed heavy hitting megablockbuster titles gaming is in a more dire situation than i feared.

Deathloop is also on PC and is timed exclusive until next year. apart from that all of these games are crap.

If your not interested in halo and Forza ps5 has more than enough content coming.

You can cross The Ascent (64 MC) from that list. I told y'all lemmings were going to eat crow eventually. It's begun. 😎

in your eyes maybe. but it's your opinion. only fps are good to you.

release in one year from launch. not even been a year. so it counts. miles and demon souls counts because series x only got medium in that time frame. and falconer what ever it's called.

fact is playstation has been releasing games after games sense day one. some are ps5 only and the other cross plat form.

hopefully I think sony has a state of play today so fingers crossed for them to say hzd2 in november. lol I know it might not happen but I can dream lol.

Personally, AOE 4 is the only game on that list that interests me. So that puts Microsoft tied with Sony, Square, Namco, Techland, Arkane, and Atlus's line up of 1 game releasing this year that interests me.

That's perfectly fine but, it doesn't negate the fact that others certainly do.

Said games reviewing and/or selling well adds a lot of objective weight to the argument which is honestly needed in these type of "list wars" because otherwise you could literally dismiss every game for the most basic reason and get nowhere.

Ex. Returnal isn't my cup of tea but, I can't dismiss the fact that it's highly rated and, a recommended experience on the PS5.

The PS5's lineup is objectively great.

Spiderman Miles Morales, Sackboy, Demons Soul's, Ratchet, Returnal, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Ghost of Tsushima, and Death Stranding average a metacritic score of 85.

(And it'll likely go up once the Director Cuts get reviewed for GoT and Death Stranding.)

Imagine being so much of a crippled in the brains fanboy that you rather play crap like The Ascent than any of those games.

@dabear: only if Sony paid for time exclusive. But if Sony paid for it to be pc and ps only then they can't break contract. Most likely time exclusive. But if its one year then it won't be for a year.

Me I like both. Waiting for Starfield, fable, and gunk before I get a series x. My ps5 keeps me busy until then.
