Assassin's Creed Revelations was officially announced today andwill be the third and final chapter in the "Ezio trilogy".

Do you think Ubisoft is now milking Ezio as the main character of the series as opposed to presenting a new main protagonist?

At least they're not milking Altair. He had a cool character design, but he was a bland and empty character (which pretty much sums up the first Assassin's Creed game).

I love Assassins Creed, Brotherhood is my favorite.

But i would prefer a new setting and time.

Feudal Japan, Egypt, Russia, American Revolution, WW2, French revolution, London, etc etc.

Im afriad they we are going to get "Worn out" of these games.

That being said, the game does look pretty cool, Older Ezio looks cool, Altair will be back, Desmond of course will be back.

Im going to enjoy it.

I don't really mind. Ezio is a pretty good character and I like the Renaissance time period as well. I am kind of curious to where AC3 will take place and when the series predictively starts getting more into Desmond's time

Not any more than any other company. We could have this discussion about practically every game

I stopped caring about Assassin's Creed after playing AC2 (which bored me to tears), so I don't care.

The real main charecter of the series, as stated by Ubisoft is Desmond anyways. and since this will be his last title, I see this as what it is...a bid for time to finish the true 3rd game

**** no, Brotherhood and 2 were both awesome, and I love Ezio as character. Give me three more Ezio games for all I care, as long as they keep up with the interesting locales (of which Constantinople is a superb variety).

No. They're milking the franchise as a whole before they even consider doing serious sequels. Just give ordinary installments, eg. AC 1, 2, 3, and so forth

It's one thing to have a likeable character, but it's another to be afraid of attempting to make a new character and being afraid of butchering it.

Never heard of milking a character before. Anyway I'm excited for Revelations, whether the franchise is being milked or not.

If they would have said we are going to keep making AC around him then I would say yea. However they did say this will end ezio story so the next AC after this one will have someone els and different time frame.

He's a much more interesting character than Altair. Also, I find him a very charming and likable character. (At least he was in ACII.) A new face would be nice though.

That'd be an interesting way of ending Ezio's story. And it would fit. I wonder how he'll bite the dust...

He climbs to the top of a huge tower, looks around, and leaps off. However, too late, he realizes his brain glitched causing him to jump slightly in the wrong direction, sending him plummteing to a swift death.

Yeah I was being sacastic, trying to make a funny. He'll probably end up sacrifcing himself or something, while also killing the bad guy. (Whoever it may be.) That seems like the most fitting way for him to go.

I like Ezio's charactor but having 2 main charactors in 4 games(Not including those DS and Iphone abominations) just seems werid to me.Plus theres way to many unanswerd questions about altair.

No, not at all. Ezio is pretty cool. And this will be his last game, so the "milking" is going to stop even if you think it is milking.

Maybe he'll have kids, get old and die in his sleep :P.

What?! That's boring!

But I could see that happening as well. Then you play as his kid in a level that ends abruptly, something crazy happens to Desmond, making you think "What just happened and why the hell did it happen that way?" and then a 10 minute credits with some dialogue that's supposed to entice people into playing the next game.

Ezio is one of the best, most developed characters in gaming and one of my top 5 favorite characters, but I feel like Ubisoft is denying a great chance to make another awesome protagonist and develop them through the course of a game. In ACII he loves, is betrayed, changes into a coldhearted killer and becomes a master assassin. In Brotherhood it was just more of the same Ezio we saw at the end of II, but for a whole game with no change.

I'm fine with one protagonist in multiple games, but Uncharted 2 didn't have you play through 30 years of Nate's life for 30 hours so it makes more sense to have him. None of the GTA games even have the same person twice because we've already experienced their growth and spent a joyous time with them, even if we do want to see them again it wouldn't be the same.

So yeah, give us a new dude (or lady) assassin already Ubisoft!

yes, I really didn't like his character but I stomached it for AC2 thinking they'd move on to bigger and better characters for AC3, but no they stuck with Ezio, probably though because AC:B was supposed to be AC2 DLC, and probably the same for the next Ezio game as well... yeah I'm sick of him though, and the last game just felt rushed, I think I'm getting sick of the series too, everybody keeps talking about it like it's so great but if nobody objects to them rushing the game like this then they'll just keep looking for ways to give us less and make us pay top dollar

Nah, not really. I like him more than Altair, although that's probably due to Ubisoft's questionable decision of hiring a zombie to voice Altair.

I can't speak for everyone but when I play an amazing game. AC2 & ACB, I don't want to stop playing it. So making another game in the series is always good. People get upset that they are trying to milk the idea and I really don't get it. If the game was good why would you be upset that they are making another one? I wouldn't want Ubisoft to turn into Blizzard and release a new game in the series once every 10 yrs.

Mario games don't focus on story or characters, Snake is a much deeper and cooler character then Ezio.

Ezio was a cool character, but not enough to warrant 2 games, let alone 3. I thought AC1 was okay. I loved AC2, but now I've just given up on AC franchise because I'm not going to buy an annual installment like the CoD series. They're going to milk it dry.

LOL wtf. Is Mario milked? Is master chief milked? is nathan drake milked? I can't believe the results of the poll -.- Ezio and his era bring amazing gameplay, so why not keep him for awhile?
