If they can beef up their third party and continue to increase Japanese support. If Tales, Dragon Quest and Kingdom Hearts appeared on Xbox regularly I wouldn't need ps4 (probably)

No chance in hell it will catch up. The PS4 is king for this generation and rightfully so. They did a lot of things right at the start of the generation where Xbox fucked up!

Not likely, but it really doesnt have to. 40 million consoles is a hella respectable number. The super nintendo was possibly the greatest console of all time and it only sold around 50 million units.

That's like saying a 4 inch ball is respectable vs a 7 inch ball. It's inferior, though.

The PS3 beat the xbox360 in sales. Xbox360 was Dead last in sales last gen.

PS3 actually sold 87 million and Xbox360 sold around 86 million. PS3 won by a million sales.

There is several articles confirming PS3 surpassed Xbox360 sales worldwide back in 2013 but Xbox fanboys like to pretend this never happened.

I guess the ownage was too great for them to handle with the fact they launched a year earlier and PS3 still won despite launching at twice the price LOL.

At the end of 2017 EA stated that 103 million consoles had been sold (PS4 + XBONE) PS4 was at 73 million at the time so XBONE was at 30 million. Sony announced 82 mil at the end of July, so Microsoft if selling at only 40% of PS4 sales puts them closer to 35 million at this point.

Seeing as how I don't own any stock in Microsoft, I really don't care if they outsell Sony. I will still buy all my multiplats on xbox as that is the system I prefer to play on. If your life revolves around the sales figures of a company that doesn't put any money into your pocket, then you lead a pretty sad existence.

It really doesn't matter, just as long as these gaming consoles come out with amazing games and plenty of new IP's. Not concerned about sales for consoles, mainly game sales are a more of an important factor. In my opinion.

Nah, the WW sales gap is too big. Although it's possible the XB1 could have a run in North America. WW though, even going from 40-45 million to 83 million is almost impossible. That's not even counting the fact that the PS4 will continue to sell.

Going with Yes. I think Xbox has already passed Ps4 and its the reason Sony isnt doing its PSX event.
